Reviewed By RJKR0217We have stayed at this location for over 28 years. Had our honeymoon here. It is very convenient and walkable to old town. Park at the Inn and walk across the Bridge of Lions. Only issue, which we forgot to tell management, is the bathroom sink drained very slow. Not a biggie for us, but it may be for someone else.

Best staff on the planet. We stayed five nights in mid-May, and enjoyed every minute. We especially loved our second-floor balcony, with a view of the Marina, drawbridge, and marine life -- manatees, dolphins, and a variety of shorebirds. We also appreciated the gopher tortoises and ghost crabs at Anastasia State Park. In town, the Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour Bus was informative and entertaining. Columbia Restaurant in the historic district is a must, though we found the fare at Black Fly and Odd Birds to be more creative and flavorful. All in all, our visit was a smash success. Book this hotel. You'll be glad you did.

We had a kitchen area with a fridge so we could enjoy leftovers. We even had a terrific living room. While the decor could be updated, the only thing I would change is the bathrooms. I have knee issues so the low toilet was difficult and the shower was too small, but those are small blips to an otherwise excellent experience. The Cozy Inn is an excellent base of operations to explore St. Augustine. We left happy with our choice and ready to come back and stay again.

Reviewed By LS-MD61This place is old - very small rooms, very outdated, "garden view" was a weed covered incline that led to the highway. It's only saving grace is that it is directly across the street from the beach. Price seemed very reasonable - but you get what you pay for.

Reviewed By Amy BThe room was clean but had an “old” smell. I believe it was the leftover odor of years of cigarette smoking in the room even though now it was a non-smoking room. It had new flooring, but the rest needs to be updated. The pool was clean. The breakfast was a very small selection and only offered between 7:30-9:30am. My biggest issues were that for the first day and a half, I had no hot water. I complained twice and the second time, the front desk clerk said, “I sent an email to our maintenance guy and I guess he didn’t get to it” and, “Did you leave the water running for like a half hour?…Sometimes it takes a while.” Then when I went to check out, as I needed a hard copy of my receipt, there was a note on the door stating they were out running errands and to leave the keys in the room and they would email a receipt. They did not. I then called them to ask for one and it took me about five times to explain what I wanted and four times for him to get my email correct. The good news is I finally got it. The reason I picked the location is that you can walk to the beach from there. Takes about 20 minutes.

Reviewed By Hill_Runner_NCStopped at this hotel on my way to the Florida Keys. Very convenient to I-95 and adjacent to the outlet malls. Only a 10 minute drive to old town St Augustine. The room was clean and updated, but the bathroom needed a couple of fixes, but for the price, this could be overlooked. Breakfast was simple, but adequate, with hot waffles as an option (I didn't partake since I needed to get on the road early). The staff was friendly and accommodating. If you need a place to eat nearby, there's a fantastic Argentine / Uruguayan place just a couple miles away - Pampa. Their chivito sandwich is highly recommended!!

Reviewed By ontos1234stayed at the ocean view lodge in april,.... left a picture we had taken in the room we had taken at a old timey photography store and inadvertently left it in the room,... called the hotel and ask if they found it,... they said they had,... asked if they would mail it to me,... they said they would,... havent seen it to this day,... have called on several occassions , now the say the dont know what happened,... i do,.... they never mailed it!!!!! all i can say , is if you forget and leave anything behind, dont expect to get it back!!!!!!
