My wife and daughters enjoyed the cookery lesson here recently (2,000 rupees each). After they had made several curry dishes under guidance (potato, pineapple, fish, tomato, sambol, dhal), the chef added some rice and poppadoms and invited us all to sit down and enjoy the results - yum. The product of their lesson became our (big) lunch.Thank you very much!

We tried 3 local restaurants during our stay at the Anatara and this one was our favourite. The food was amazing, the owner runs cooking classes and her son, our waiter was both funny and delightful. The ambience of the restaurant was great also. Whilst the meal options were limited to a choice of fish, prawn, chicken or calamari curry, the food was delectable. I chose prawn and my husband chose chicken. The accompanyments were delicious. The total price for drinks and food was 3700 LKR. We can This was superb Sri-Lankan food for a very reasonable price. If you are staying at the Anatara, itâs just a very short 1.4 km tuk tuk ride at a cost of 300 LKR each way.

We knew the owner from previous visits and were happy to see him in his new venture, the food was exceptionally good and freshly prepared. Service good and sitting areas very nice for relaxed and enjoyable evening meal, also drinks available to chill out. Couldn't speak more highly of the establishment and will return .

Deshanâs street sign on the road to Goyambokka Beach advertises rooms and restaurant. We did not stay here, but stopped in for dinner on the recommendation of others staying at our guest house, Calm Garden Cabanas, nearby. The food was delicious, the beer was cold, and the service was friendly and responsive. We returned a couple of times, and enjoyed each meal very much. Highly recommended. Ivan & Linda, Canada
