OK Motel

OK Motel but out of the way.Rooms are a.decent size as are bathrooms. All rooms appear to be upstairs. At $150 a night I thought this was overpriced. Next time I'd look for something closer to the town and restaurants as all you have to choose from out there is a pub.

This is an exceptional motel , beautiful functional rooms , very clean , spacious bathrooms . Good TV. Quiet clean Fridge , quiet Aircon . Spacious modern Bathroom Very comfy bed , great Pillows . Friendly owner , very accommodating when asked for a plate and cutlery . Just look at the perfectly manicured gardens . This Motel presents itself with real pride . The owners are offering their best . After two disastrous nights at two different very shabby motels in Bundaberg , for the same price , might I add , $135 , the Golden Palms is the clear winner . In Summary , I would highly recommend this beautifully presented and truly comfortable little motel. YES , I will stay here again .

Road Trip overnighter

Reviewed By WorldTravla7

Gladstone was an overnight stop on my road trip from Cairns to the Sunshine Coast & I stayed here at the Reef. It was a good choice as there is a full bistro restaurant attached to the hotel & I got myself a nice glass of red & vegetarian spaghetti & meatballs (not bad at all!). The hotel car park was chocka block but I found a free park in the street next door easily. The young lady on reception got me checked in fine but was a bit jaded and didn’t seem happy to be there - the type who is biding their time in a small town waiting for any chance to get out of Gladstone. The room was a good size & just right for an overnight stay. I got into town late, so got settled in the room, had dinner downstairs in the bistro & got an earlyish night before getting back on the road the next day. I did head down to East Shores waterfront park for a bit of site seeing the next morning & had coffee & pancakes at a nice little cafe called Familia. I’d recommend Reef for an overnight stay.

Bayview charged my credit card twice for our recent visit. I have called, emailed at least 10 times and had been assured I would be refunded. But, no refund received and I keep getting told it's the finance section that needs to refund me. Well give me their phone number. A refund to a credit card is not difficult. Be very cautious.

A real gem

We really loved staying at Pacific Sun for a couple of nights whilst we did the Lady Musgrave Experience. The vibe is gorgeous…..quaint 1960s style beach motel lovingly refreshed for all of today’s expectations leaving you feeling relaxed and special, a true unique getaway. We can’t wait to return. Owner Andrea is refreshingly friendly and welcoming (feels like she truly loves her motel and living here - relaxed yet professional). On a practical note, the rooms are very clean, decor gorgeous, good aircon, big TV, new curtains that block out, and a neat kitchen with full fridge and necessary amenities. Close to all cafes and restaurants and the beach front, we enjoyed the Thai across the road and Kaseys for dinner both great.
