It would have been nice to see someone else. The DJ outside was pretty cool. There were staff always cleaning. I was really disappointed with the pool security! Although they made SOME non-guest leave there were several over the weekend who did not leave. One person who was sitting next to me (IN the pool) told the security she was there for a “drink” while she two sons played in the pool. He just said ok. There were others who did not have wristbands who were friends. I personally think the checkin staff should put the wristbands on the guest. If you don’t have a band you should not be in the pool!!!

Great location and easy beach access behind the hotel.. room was awesome, spacious and king size bed was very comfortable, I loved the patio in our backyard, breakfast had quite the options which was a bonus! Overall I loved my stayed everything was spectacular!

The bellman Wyatt was very polite and helping he got our stuff to the room very professionally and Eli at the front desk was very helpful as well told us where our room was very easily and made us make sure we was here for us if we needed anything I will definitely be coming back and I will be telling everybody I know about the isla grand.

Reviewed By mushroommom420I had intended on making a girls trip this summer. When asking friends and family where to stay, I was actually told where not to stay. Based on what I know, this management and staff has a lot more hospitality to learn. The staff speaks to customers and guests poorly and management backs them up as if it is okay. Although this property seems to be the most affordable, I'll gladly spend $100 more to stay at a business that values customer service and courtesy.

I read some reviews that staff was rude, but we were treated kindly and respectfully. Also, some reviews stated that the rooms were outdated, but ours was really nice and clean. We had a wonderful view from our balcony in the 4th floor. The pool was very nice and we were a short walk away from the beach. Overall, very satisfied with the hotel!

Reviewed By Voyager49694901081First 2 days no hot water, no towels available ever, son and husband got stuck in broken elevator, pool was beyond dirty, water looked beige and had chunks and chunks of hair i requested for it to be cleaned 3 times but it never got cleaned, last day the water was completely shut off at 10 am. We have stayed here for years and noticed a decrease in the maintenance of property but this time it was just too much......will not stay here again, unfortunately because it was our go to hotel for years.

Fun get away
Reviewed By 413lamarwI was hesitant to go to this Hotel but we go down to South Padre a lot. This year with prices of gas and the economy being in the dump we could not afford a huge price for staying in a condo for a couple of days. So we were looking and found this hotel on line and said why not try it. So we did and it was great we really enjoyed the stay. This place was about $500 cheaper than staying in one of the condos. Who stays inside all the time anyway. I will say the wife and I were very happy with the room we had it had a stove and a fridge. So we were able to cook breakfast each morning then head out to the beach the rest of the day. I will say the room was very clean and the overall cleaning of the complete hotel was very clean. We had a great view from the room of the south beach from the balcony. The only thing was the beach access from the hotel it self was all sand and there where steps leading down to it. So trying to get to the beach with a wagon would be impossible. However, there is beach access on each side of the hotel so it was easy to get to from there. So overall we had a great time. We will go back. Bring your own paper products there was only Toilet paper. Also there was no paper towels or dishwashing soap or something to scrub the dishes with. So bring your own stuff for that.

Our Annual Winter Stay
Reviewed By mcleanm7108Last winter was our third winter visit to the Ramada. My Brother in law Steve recommended your place as he has been going there for 14 years. Now both Brother in laws and wives stay there. This last year we recommended that our Sister in law and husband come down. And a cousin in law has been down the last two years. Each year we have been coming down we stay a little longer the next. This year we will be staying from the end of Dec to the end of Feb. The staff is amazing from the front office who welcome us at check in to house keeping to maintenance. They are becoming more like family every year.. Always willing to help with anything needed. The property is great. We've been is three different rooms. Our last room 234 is our favorite and are hoping for it again. There are many great places to eat on the island. But we always enjoy heading back to our room. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. Did I forget to mention the comp happy hour and then the next morning the comp breakfast? Well there I just did. You just cannot go wrong staying at the Ramada. See you folds December 30th this year.

The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. The condos are great with a full kitchen where you can cook in if you want. The beach was beautiful and they had a nice place around the pool to relax with the family. We had a blast and will definitely return!
