Just a little stroll off the Hahndorf Academy/Centre is this little restaurant which combine es nice Australian cuisine with an arty ambience. We very much enjoyed the excellent service, which was at times a little rushed. The Brussel sprouts were nice but almost a bit overpowered by garlic! Mains (pulled lamb shoulder and haloumi) were excellent, the apple crumble outstanding! Hello! (Hallo) Thank you for your review. It was really wonderful having you with us. With the lantern festival taking place in town, all-day Saturday had been very busy day for us and your smiles and positivity were very much appreciated. Went for a drive into the hills especially to come here for the pizzas. It was worth it. Plenty of outside seating so rug up for winter, bring your dog or book ahead to get inside by the fire. Loved the wine selection I had never heard of any of it but I enjoy trying new wines.

Arrived with great expectations. Nicely atmospheric with pleasant and helpful wait staff. Organic local wines only - not really to my liking, I guess. But I was not expecting a grand wine experience. Chose the âdegustationâ menu for four. Wasnât great value for four people - many of the serves for four seemed to be the same size as those for two, who were eating at the shared table. Not particularly accommodating for two non-red meat eaters in our group - they were just reminded not to eat the courses that were meat based. Some of the flavours worked - some didnât. I really wanted to like this place, but left fairly disappointed.
