Found this on TripAdvisor and decided to try it. The decor may not be top notch, but the food and service is. I ordered fried noodles with chicken with hot seasoning, and it was delicious. I will eat here again. Fresh and clean toilet.

We stopped here during a Gota Kanal cruise. This ice cream restaurant is evidently quite famous in this part of Sweden, as evidenced by the huge line (maybe 2-hours long?) to get a table to sit in or outside. For those with less patience there is window service on one end where there is quick service. Featuring a large choice of flavors, the ice cream is good and refreshing, especially on a nice summer day.
I tried the cappuccino and blueberry in a waffle cone. The cost was 30 Kr, about par for other places I visited in Sweden ... about $3.50 U.S.

Pros:
- Nicely situated by the Göta Kanal (the channel) with veranda. Big windows inside that can be opened to give an outdoor feeling
- Decent selection of tapas on the menu. We had calamari, garlic bread and some dried ham and all was good
- Nice presentation of all food plates.
Cons:
- The main courses were lacking taste. We had "Frutti di Mare" and the Fish soupe and even they looked really nice they were both a disapointment.
- Service a bit sloppy. Young unexperienced interns obviously.
- A ridicolously poor beer meny. Like in the eighties. Come on guys!

Summary: If your in for some tapas and like to sit and watch the gadabouts this could be the place. If not, go some where else

Stegeborg's harbour restaurant, just beside the ferry crossing on the south side of the water, is overlooked by a medieval castle tower. The location is stunning and restaurant guests can enjoy their food and drink on the deck by the water's edge. We didn't as it was pouring with rain, but inside the tastefully decorated restaurant it was just as delightful. The food was good and the service, excellent. A word of special praise to Linnea who served us. Her friendliness and sunny disposition brightened up the rather grey day. We enjoyed our brief visit to Stegeborg and look forward to returning some day, hopefully when the sun is shining!

It's always fun to stop in a restaurant in a different country and see what's on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch buffet featuring yummy panbiff, brunsas and lingon with a salad bar, bread, and coffee. This was a warm, welcoming place. Food was delicious! You can eat inside or take your meal outside.

Radhustorgets Pizzeria

Restaurant and pizzeria in center of Soderkoping Serving pizza, kebab, hamburger and sallads

Reviewed By SmoothieNow - Sanur, Indonesia

It's rare to find a Pizzeria that is so well composed like the ones we got served in this Pizzeria. Sweden has over the years developed quite a good market for Pizza's even though it comes from the Italian cuisine.
I love the cheese selection, tomato sauce and the crust of the Pizza in this place. I had Hot Hot which was so good I actually returned for another pizza with the family. You can find a lot of good Pizzerias in Sweden. But this one is one of my favorites. It's great...
Seating is also good for a family (we where 6 people) and it is located in the middle of the city center of Söderköping. Staff is polite and helpful. Only thing we could wish for is menus in English...

Gota Glass

Reviewed By Barbara E - Amsterdam, The Netherlands

We were strolling along the canal and saw the extremely long line at the other ice-cream store. Lucky for me my friend is from Söderköping and asked me if I wanted to sit down and have a huge bowl of ice-cream or if I preferred tasty homemade Italian ice-cream. I prefer the last so we walked for less then a minute and ended up at this place. No absurd queue and tasty ice-cream. They sell fika too and have an outside Terrace too. I am happy we decided to go here in stead.
