Our accomodation offers modern rooms with air conditioning, heating and free Wi-Fi. Each room has a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. The building also has a restaurant of the same name, where A la carte breakfast is served to our guests.
Disappointment
Reviewed By 587vladim_rsI was there 2 years ago and it was really good but recent visit was just horrible. Fries floated in grease, meat not good at all, cheese on the top without flavour and staff act like we are not there. Definitely need new people, especially in the kitchen.

Good modern hotel
Reviewed By davestlyI stayed here as I had some friends in a house nearby. We were in Slovakia for a weeks skiing. Motel Skalka is a 20 minute drive from the Snow Paradise resort. The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms are a decent size with good bathrooms. Wifi worked well throughout. There are a couple of things to watch out for. First there is a lot of noise from the road which appears to be the main truck route from Poland/Czech Republic. Try to get a room away from the road as it is busy 24 hours. nest, the heating cannot be controlled in the room (why not?). You have to ask at reception for them to turn down the heat. We had to insulate the radiator with towels/clothes to keep the temperature down. We only ate breakfast at the hotel. That was excellent. We saw others at dinner time and the food looked really good. They do close early in the evening however.

Opulent hotel at an affordable price
Reviewed By Travelling_faithWe saw pictures of the hotel online and thought that the price was pretty affordable for the quality. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated, plus bathroom was very modern. The one major downside was that there was no aircon or fan in the room and since it was next to a busy road and bus terminal, it was very noisy to keep the windows open. We woke up in the middle of the night sweating and couldn't sleep well at all.

Reviewed By sacocciaDopo aver prenotato e pagato anticipatamente giungiamo in hotel con un giorno di ritardo per un problema coi bagagli non arrivati all’aeroporto di Budapest.Ebbene il motel era chiuso con luci spente.Chiamiamo al telefono indicato su un foglio appiccicato sulla porta principale e ci riattaccano perche non in grado di parlare inglese.Ci mandano Sms con altro numero da chiamare,risponde una persona che ci dice che la nostra prenotazione non risulta nel sistema e che il titolare e’ fuori e non sara’ nel motel prima di mezz’ora,dobbiamo aspettare di fuori al buio anche perche l’altro hotel qui vicino e’ fully booked. Arriva il proprietario ed incredulo ci chiede la copia della prenotazione perche a lui non risulta. Poi ci fa salire al secondo piano,toglie lenzuola,cuscino da uno dei due letti presenti nella mia camera e mi consegna le chiavi. Per il resto camera pulita,senza nemmeno tende oscuranti e asta sostegno cipolla doccia. La mattina seguente inizia con il servizio colazione ASSENTE,non male!
