Microtel by Wyndham South Forbes Near Nuvali

Nice Stay

Reviewed By aceafrica

We booked Microtel South Forbes to attend a sortie in Nuvali. It was one of the nearest hotels and all were already fully booked. We were lucky that this hotel had a vacancy but it was over our budget. We were happy they gave ua a free upgrade! Checking in and out was easy and smooth. We were welcomed with refreshments near the lobby. The staff were friendly and couteous. Our room was really nice and spacious! We were very happy we got this room. Breakfast was okay. There was a limited variety of food and was in their ballroom on the 2nd floor. Their resto was closed maybe because of the pandemic. But since Microtel is situated near other restos and coffee shop, food was not a problem. We enjoyed our short stay there. We will definitely come back again.

Relaxing and clean

Reviewed By CharlesPatrick

The hotel and the rooms are exactly or even better in person than in the images. - It's clean and the staff are very polite. - Rooms are big - They have a good size pool, unfortunately it was raining and we weren't able to take a quick swim - Huge parking lot Only bad experience is when we visited, their WIFI is down, and network signal is a bit poor Cons: - The room doors doesn't have a peek hole to know who's ringing the doorbell (but don't worry much about safety - as they have a small guard house that checks each car before allowing it in, then another guard in the hotel lobby.) Overall, we're very satisfied with our stay, and would recommend this hotel.

The Park - Silang

Not worth the drive & price

Reviewed By P5611YUsamm

We booked the premium suite with its own dipping pool for 2 nights. Room is very spacious with 2 large beds, a spacious toilet & bath with a bath tub, dining area for 4, and a mini kitchen counter. Property has many pools to choose from but shows signs of aging and does not seem to have been maintained well through the years. The lobby was being renovated when we stayed. No phone in the rooms - you can only contact frontdesk and in-room dining via mobile phone or Facebook messenger. Responsiveness is not consistent, we had to call multiple times to confirm our orders from the restaurant. Also, they charge for a corkage fee for bringing in food & drinks but the onsite restaurant has very limited menu and is only open up to 9PM. For the price we paid for our stay, and the price they charge for breakfast, one would typically expect a breakfast buffet. However, the breakfast served was ala-carte and is very expensive for the food quality. Food serving was okay and did not taste good (we decided not to avail of the complimentary breakfast during our 2nd day). Fastfood breakfast is way better than what they have. Service at the restaurant was also quite slow, considering that there were only 3 groups when we had our breakfast. Cleanliness is also an issue. Our bathroom had obvious dust, bath tub and shower not clean, toilet also not clean. The bath towels provided looked old and were not the usual "bleached white" one would expect from hotels. They did provide basic toiletries in the room. The roof in our toilet had holes and we're glad it did not rain during our stay. Everyday, soot and dirt falls from the holes in the bathroom. During our second day, we found dead insects in the bathroom counter (most likely fell from the holes in the roof). There is no daily housekeeping service. We had to call for the towel and water replenishments during our 2nd day, including removal of fallen leaves from our pool. We have not seen lifeguards or any staff on standby at the pools. Proper swimming attire was also not enforced. We were looking forward to have a relaxing vacation at this property but our experience was not as we expected because of poor property maintenance, poor sanitation and poor service.

Perfect Place to Relax with Family and Friends

Reviewed By Excursion637943

I give this place 5 stars. I have been coming here for more than ten years now. I have brought friends, family and business associates. They all love this place. They have been coming back since then. The food is good. Ambience is relaxing. Decent crowd. Lush garden, you can smell the fresh scent of grass. The place remains cool all year round. What keeps me coming back also is that the staff are friendly and courteous. They sure know how to make their customers comfortable. They make sure the place is always clean and well kept/maintained. I will keep coming back and recommend this place.

Whitewoods Convention & Leisure Hotel

Like an abandoned resort!

Reviewed By joyyytravels

I stayed for a night (Thursday-Friday) via Agoda. When i checked in, the receptionist immediately said that they no longer support Agoda bookings, without even looking at their system. I asked her for any solution since I already paid the booking via CC. Thankfully, the manager was leaving the building and she ordered to give us a room anyway. Like the title suggest, we were the only guests in the hotel! It’s a big hotel so it really felt like “abandoned”. You can also tell from the smell of the room and its cleanliness. The bed is comfy though so that’s something. You can’t really expect anything in their free breakfast as well. We ate a microwaved garlic rice with sloppy egg and spam. We were also the only people to eat breakfast. Overall, it’s a good choice especially if you just need a place to sleep. There’s a pool but it was dirty when we went there so we didn’t use it at all.

Delicious Treats made from Mohawk Pigs

Reviewed By jhboiser

The black pigs here sport a Mohawk, they are native to the Philippines and they taste so good! Here we tasted the lechon (roasted pork) and hungarian sausage which were super good. Best part is, they came from their farm nearby, including the lettuce and herbs that they used. Yes, it was a great farm to table experience. My tummy was happy and my heart was full as we toured the farm. It also inspired me that they named the place after their parents, keeping their family legacy alive in the farm and the cafe. A trip to Silang or Tagaytay should definitely include a stop at Teofely - to eat or walk along the farm. Can't wait to bring my family here!

Five Star Vacation on Reasonable Budget

Reviewed By Odyssey33588424893

I was surprised to experience the 5 star service of staff and reception staff, it far exceeded my expectation which only a five star hotel can give. The rooms are well designed comparable to hotels and beyond that of vacation resorts. I like the pool which reminds me of my stay in Shangrila The food are very good.

Pleasant solo stay at their hostel / dorm room

Reviewed By reneehassani

I needed a place to stay in Silang because I had an early commitment in the morning, so I was really happy to have stumbled upon The Charm because it wasn't an expensive accommodation. I arrived around 2am and left early in the morning. (Some hotels would've charged extra for the late check-in) Really glad to find their dormitory rooms / what they called the Backpackers room, hostel style which has bunk beds for 6. I paid 600 pesos, a pretty fair price for the place. I had the room for myself. Parking was no problem. They even gave me free breakfast. There were no phone in the rooms so I had to go down to the reception to request for a wake-up call, which I think was an uncommon request for the hotel (Guy didn't know what it was) Anyway, all the staff were pleasant. Some cons: no trash bins in toilet no tissue papers shower wasn't working properly!! (Room 307) :( Can't complain much! Pretty much a bang for the buck 600 hotel nights stay (because luckily no one stayed at the dorm room I got) Would come back again if needed
