We were not discouraged by the fact that we were the only guests at that moment - probably because of late Sunday evening and low season and we didn't regret it. This place is known for huge empanadas with different fillings. We went for hawayana and one with ham and mushrooms and both were delicious. For a drink try jugo de tomate de arbol.

Several gnomes grace the inside of Mi Cotinga, watching over her guests. This tiny clean restaurant has a modern yet old-world European feel. The food is delicious and the service is great (very personal). Iâve never had cheese soup before, but if you go, you must try it. My avocado and cheese panini was simply delicious, and my dining companions raved about their food as well. They serve craft beer (branded in their name), as well as their own brands of Ecuadorian coffee.
