San Diego Resorts | Places to Stay in San Diego

San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

Called in to the resort and spoke with Shakira. She was absolutely pleasant! This day in age when customer service seems to be non existent, she was full of impeccable customer service from the very first hello! She was so willing and happy to help me find the perfect room for the perfect price! I haven’t visited the property yet but if they are anything like what I received when I called in to book, it’ll be a fabulous time!

Family friendly but expected more.

Reviewed By Kristy M

I first want to say that the staff were amazing and the pools are great. It’s is very close to Sea World and very family friendly. Our kids are 8 and 10 and they enjoyed it. However, no one cleaned our room or took out the garbage. We could call for this but it felt someone could have told us at check-in or at least swung by. The beach is on the bay so not crystal clear water but the kids enjoyed it. However, as an adult, it was not great. We thought there would be beach chairs or at least chairs to rent and there weren’t. Also, not much for playing in the sand or water unless you buy it or rent a boat. Renting a boogie board (to float one because no waves) or a sand bucket would have been nice. The 3 restaurants are really just one restaurant because the one is closed several days a week and the cantina serves very limited items and only on weekends. The same food items get old after having them for lunch and dinner a couple of days. For the cost of our room and services, we really expected more. Overall, we made the best of it but we won’t be staying here again.

Ocean Park Inn

A hotel reimagined: mid-century modern meets the beach. It’s a hotel offering the best of two worlds: completely reimagined interiors paired with a casual beach vibe, located at the ocean’s edge. Let’s begin there. The Ocean Park Inn — right on the boardwalk, alive with cool ocean breezes — is in the heart of Pacific Beach. The moment you arrive, the surf allures with the promise of an immersive experience. Happiness comes in waves, especially when you’re Southern California dreaming at the coastline. With brand new guest suites slated to be unveiled in April 2020, and a property-wide unveiling set for spring 2021, the ambitious interior renovation delivers a fresh take on mid-century style. You’ll love what we’ve done with the place. Picture sophisticated, streamlined furnishings paired with crisp hues of cool mint green, black, white, and a soul-warming, sun-drenched yellow. Add to that vintage photography, custom-designed furnishings, and thoughtful mid-century inspired decor. The pared-down elegance of this

A super hotel, great little heated pool, direct beach access, large grocery store across the street which was great as the room has a small fridge. Lots of small beach bars, breakfast spots and great coffee right outside your door! Booked and can't wait to get there!!

I don't usually write reviews....especially when I haven't even stayed there yet...but in this case I had to! Renee in reservations was just outstanding!!! Not only did she help me book connecting rooms and answer all my endless questions but also gave me a lot of great information about the hotel and things to do in the area as well. In fact, she literally called me back to tell me some additional information too! Who does that? One word....RENEE!!!! I told her that when we come to stay there in July that I want to meet her in person to thank her for all her help!! All the staff I have spoken to so far seems wonderful. I called today to get restaurant recommendations and spoke to Maricella at the front desk who could not have been nicer. She transferred me to Lisa Marie the concierge and she gave me tons of information and immediately sent me an email with links to tons to do in the area and offered to book any reservations we needed. Lisa Marie was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The staff already has been so wonderful. We are SO excited about our trip already! It's off to a great start. Can't wait to make all our reservations in advance and just get there and RELAX!!!

My New Favorite Place to Stay in San Diego!

Reviewed By 918dianam

I reserved two rooms for a family wedding party and I couldn't have been more pleased. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and overlooked the water. It's conveniently located near Liberty Station shops and restaurants. Everyone I came in contact with there was friendly and professional, but what really impressed me was the sweetness of Kelsey at the front desk. I had gone to the front desk looking for a diet coke. She explained that the property has Pepsi and Pepsi products but she shared my preference for Diet Coke and understood my disappointment. Later that evening, as I was leaving, I found a gift bag outside my door with tissue paper, chocolates, four Diet Cokes, and a note that read "Found some for ya :) Enjoy your stay!" That small gesture was so impressive, this will be the first place I look to stay when I'm in town.
