Local fish and a very fine Chablis
Reviewed By Tottenham44Had a very enjoyable lunch at Les Tilleuls in Saint Jorioz. Obviously a very popular place with locals and the specialities are fish from Lake Annecy. We had the Fera fish which reminded me of a very good sole. It was perfectly cooked and came with a beautiful butter sauce. Had a reasonably priced Chablis which was a perfect accompaniment to the fish. Despite our limited French we coped and the staff were exceptionally polite and patient. Big shout out to Gilles who I think might be the proprietor . He is a “big character” in the nicest possible way and the ultimate front of house guy. He would do well in any top London restaurant. Thanks Le Tuileries for a memorable lunch (which we had after taking our pre UK return PCR test at the local Medical centre in Saint Jorioz?)

Peaceful and beautiful B&B with outstanding service
Reviewed By TomasD1230Outstanding on every level. Ta and Bernard make you feel at home, and have set up every room with care and attention to detail: From Rituals amenities to premium French bedding. Our room (like every other) had amazing unobstructed views, and direct access to a beautiful national park to relax. There is a common lounge area with complimentary coffee and tea, and great biscotti :) Breakfast is also amazing, with a variety of traditional pastries and bread, and a selection of cereals, fruits, and home-made yogurt. On top of all that we enjoyed the eggs, cooked to order. Thank you Ta and Bernard, we will definitely see you again!

Very forgettable
Reviewed By Jean MI understand this is a 2 stars hotel in a little village and thus had no Taj Mahal expectations... but still, to put it nicely this place is minimalist. Micro room, nano antic shower and a bathroom probably dating from the house building. It was quiet and folks at front desk were nice, so not catastrophic, but some maintenance would be welcome.

Beautiful converted farmhouse with wonderful hospitality
Reviewed By olliethecollie2016After a long drive from Calais we received a very warm welcome from Isabelle who settled us in to one of her comfortable, well-appointed rooms. She recommended an excellent nearby restaurant, Les Tilleuls, and as it was raining she even offered to collect us afterwards in her car! Breakfast was fresh and delicious and taken on the patio by the swimming pool. All in all a delightful experience and thoroughly recommended.

A very enjoyable weekend
Reviewed By Brian1106Mme was tasked with finding the venue for this golfing weekend and it was a pretty good choice. Decent hotels around the Lake book up quickly summer weekends and we were struggling to find a room in Talloires which is where we usually go. We did have a mountain view room, which as others have noted is next to a busy road and the room was warm at night. We did sleep reasonably despite having the windows open. The room was a decent size although the table is sacrificed in the corner and there is not room for bedside tables. All the staff were welcoming and friendly especially at the restaurant. We had both lunch and dinner at the restaurant which was full, many local families appear to come for special events which has to be a good recommendation. The food was innovative and enjoyable apart from the cold chickpea mousseline with the guinea fowl which didn't work - at all. We took time to enjoy the beach and also rented the bikes to cycle down the bike path into Annecy which takes about an hour. Much preferred to another Lake Annecy traffic jam!! Code: DNWP&UFNQSAW

Great hotel far away from everything
Reviewed By Reinier VThe hotel and services are great. Beds unfortunately completely cracked and blankets were 2x end of live. Just lay down and hope you sleep soon because it was the worst experience since long time. Apartment spotless. View amazing. People very helpfull. Area beatifull but your car/ bike is needed. Pool very nice and fresh in juni. Not heated. Are we going back? Sure, if they replace the beds.

Un petit paradis

Le sympathique propriétaire est très arrangeant et nous a proposé de nombreuses informations sur la région. Nous conseillons chaleureusement ce lieu de détente dont le coût est très raisonnable pour la région.
