Pubes in the bathroom...that are not from you. Greasy- dirty-disgusting bed, headboards. Paid for two queens beds- they are NOT queen beds...full beds...7 inch difference! Super uncomfortable bed, pillows that force your neck to a dang 90 degree angle. Expect zero sleep, especially once you turn on your LOUD creeky A/C unit that’s at least 10 years old. Want a refund. NOT worth $140 per night at all.

Family Fun

We had 4 rooms, including the Lodge, and my family had a wonderful time. We swam and relaxed at the pool area, the kids played on the playground, and then we all went fishing on the private pier. The Lodge has a nice backyard where we grilled and played yard games. The room was clean and well stocked, the grounds are clean and well maintained, the pool was clean and the pool furniture was colorful. The pier was clean and well lit at night. Will definitely return for more fun.

Nice hotel but...

Reviewed By Barbtogo

This hotel is great, the staff is super. However, they don't make up the rooms, remove the trash or replenish the coffee and towels. We brought lunch into the room and the garbage is starting to smell. When I called to see why they hadn't come to make up the room the desk clerk said "oh we told you when you checked in that no one enters the room while you stay". Well they didn't tell me that when I booked a non-refundable rate. I'm surprised that Hampton Inn condones this. It is not what I think of when I book at Hampton and will seriously reconsider ever booking again.

Terrible customer service

Reviewed By Q6797EGvaleriea

Absolutely appalled at the treatment we received at this IHG property in Rockport. I lost my identification on the way there. My wallet was stolen and luckily I had my credit card in my back pocket. I had a picture of my ID however the receptionist would not allow it. I booked my trip through a discount program through my employer and they booked through Priceline. When I asked the receptionist if I could add my husbands name to the reservation he said no, that I had to call Priceline. When I called Priceline I was unable to access the reservation because my employers number and email was used and Priceline was not able to verify my identity because I did not have this information. My employer was not available for assistance since I was checking in on Sunday. I spent over 50 minutes on the phone with Priceline and even though they would not access my account, they did call the hotel (which I was present for and heard the conversation) and ask the hotel if they would allow me to add my husband so that I could check in. The hotel declined even at the request of Priceline. The representative at Priceline got back on the line with me and told me that they apologized but that it was the hotels discretion and that they declined. I had to pay full price on top of what I had already paid. In addition, I had previously called IHG reservation phone number (this was before I booked) to ensure dogs were allowed. I was told yes but nothing else. When I got there, I was charged an additional $115 for our dog. I ended up paying $555.70 for 2 nights plus IHG is charging me an additional $65. When I spoke to Rachel at the hotel she said it “might be for incidentals” and it “should” be refunded. The worst part is that the reason why we took this trip was because our dog had cancer and we were spending the weekend with him because he was being put to sleep the day we checked out, 6/7/22. This was the worst and most heartbreaking experience. I am so disappointed and will never stay at this property again. The receptionist do not care about people and were totally unsympathetic to this situation.

Completely satisfied

My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel. We were totally satisfied with everything here. We loved the "Bay View Room." It was spotless and looked recently remodeled with fresh paint and new floors. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The AC worked well. The hot breakfast was more than we expected and was satisfactory. Jeanette and Brook and another lady at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Inez and Katie did a great job on our room. We heard there are new owners, and they have done a great job fixing it up. We loved the location right on the bay with a fishing pier. Had a great long weekend in Rockport.

Great Views

The room was small but ok for what we needed. The view to the bay was amazing when we stepped out the door and was in walking distance from the pier. Housekeeping was not the best. Didn't fully make the bed two days we were there and there was an old coffee pack in the maker from someone's previous stay. Other than that, it was nice. I would stay there again.

Not fancy but very nice

Reviewed By TXfolkie

First, ignore any reviews before 2018 because this hotel was completely rebuilt after Hurricane Harvey. Small family run place. Very nice staff. Only 16 units, all kings with kitchenette. Bring anything you need for the kitchen as they don't supply anything except the usual hotel room coffee setup. Units were very clean and had daily service. Even though it's right on a main road there was no problem with noise through the heavy walls. The location is perfect for visiting Rockport. Right across the street from the park and the beach. Right next to the downtown shops and restaurants. Great prices. My only fuss would be that all the lighting is very harsh cool LED so it feels a bit industrial. Would definitely stay there again.
