Situated on the famous MKT Trail, we are happy to welcome cyclists to rest and rejuvenate with us. Celebrate your special occasion in our romantic atmosphere. Visitors come to enjoy Les Bourgeois Winery or to browse the shops and galleries of Rocheport. With four well-appointed guest suites, a state of the art kitchen, formal dining room, sun deck, and wraparound veranda, the house exemplifies comfort and good taste. We prepare and serve a multi-course breakfast each morning with guests' preferences in mind. Using locally sourced foods whenever possible, we take pride in supporting Missouri's farmers. Farm fresh eggs, Brush and Trouble Farm meats, Goatsbeard Goat cheeses, and Patchwork Family Farms pork are a few examples of the offerings from The Amber House kitchen. We also offer massage on site. Arrange for our chef to skillfully prepare a multi-course dinner served in our relaxed, yet formal dining room.

This is a wonderful place to visit not only because the location, which it’s perfect for the trail, but you can also come relax and enjoy the hospitality offered by their owners. It was a pleasure to stay in the Amber House and Stay couples of days, clean pristine place, wonderful gourmet breakfast which gives you the fuel to ride around the trail. We really appreciate our stayed in the Amber House and I’ll recommend to visit this place in your trip to Rocheport. Os and Carol

The School House is an elegant bed and breakfast Inn located in restored historic Rocheport school building with 11 guest rooms, all with modern amenities including private baths, luxury linens, HVAC, TV's and Wi-fi. Three rooms also with 2-person whirlpool tubs. Inn guests enjoy complimentary multi-course breakfast, Wi-fi and street parking. Located two blocks from Katy Trail and one mile from Les Bourgeois Winery Bistro. Our Dormitory House next door is designed for budget cyclists with two private guest rooms with multiple beds, private baths, laundry, rooms stocked for self-serve breakfast. Our Clark Street Lodge has 2 apartments for small groups with multiple beds, private baths, kitchens, each apartment stocked with self-serve breakfast items.
Unexpected delight outside of Columbia, Missouri
Reviewed By Krin GOur plans to visit family in Columbia changed at the last minute. We called Andy at the School House B and B, and he took care of us quickly and smoothly just a few hours before we arrived. We spent five nights at this lovely B and B. The breakfasts were fantastic. Much more than I could eat, but everything was delicious and elegantly prepared. Andy and his partner Chandrika are not only personable and fun to be with; they made us feel like family. I should also mention the sheets on the bed which were so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. Oh, and the B and B is a short walk from "downtown" Rocheport, which has some charming shops and restaurants.

Our hosts were warm and welcoming, helped with the bikes, had cookies and a lovely kitchen for us, beautiful beds, bedding, showers, all the amenities! A lovely spot in a pretty town that’s been rejuvenated. Breakfast was sweet and very filling, powered us all the way to Columbia the next day.

A Wonderful B & B
Reviewed By janycesWe stayed in Clark's Suite on May 27, 2022. There were 5 adults in our room and 4 adults stayed in another room above ours. Rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped. We were allowed early check in and friendly staff were on site cleaning other units. We had great outdoor deck areas on both levels, and this was easy access to the Katy Trail. Rocheport is also a lovely historic town.

Peaceful retreat
Reviewed By Cindy LBriggs Pond is truly a magical retreat into a space of comfort and calm. You arrive through a gate into a beautiful zen-like garden complete with ponds and a winding path to the front door. If you arrive at night, the house just glows due to all of the windows in the Frank Lloyd Wright style home. Daria, a very gracious host, will greet you and offer you lovely refreshments and give you the history of this unique property as well as a tour of the grounds. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the entire house has a cosy, eclectic elegance. Daria is a wonderful cook and you rise in the morning to a delicious breakfast made from locally acquired foods including fresh fruits and vegetables which have been sustainably grown. Briggs Pond is a wonderful alternative to a standard B&B and has lovely common spaces to relax by the fireplace or read in the library. It is short walk to the trail and restaurants and shops in Rocheport. I highly recommend Briggs Pond and will definitely be going back.
