Excellent location
Reviewed By 55ChrispyA lovely hotel in the heart of the medieval city. We opted for a room with a view of the valley and this was located across the road from the main hotel adjacent to the restaurant. Dining outside on the terrace was very pleasant and the food of a good standard. Note that the hotel does not have its own parking, however parking on the outskirts of the city is plentiful and well signposted ( we opted for Parking Vallee, a 10 minute walk from the hotel) . Rocamadour is obviously a very popular and busy tourist attraction, therefore choose your arrival time carefully. We would also recommend taking 'le petit train' after dark for a spectacular view of the city at night.

Relais Amadourien is a ** family hotel ideally located in Rocamadour. It's very close to tourist sites and to the Sanctuaries and the old Village. 28 quiet and comfortable rooms: private bathroom, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. The hotel offers also free private parking, pleasant garden and large room for breakfasts overlooking the valley and the garden. This excellent value for money and ideal location help you spend a pleasant holiday.
Surprising visit in a pilgrimage location
Reviewed By michaelu425Been driving quite a long time along the small roads and through the villages of the countryside coming from Nîmes. We booked the hotel on the way. However, it got later and later and we still had to charge, when the hotel contacted us to let us know that it's not a problem to arrive late. Nevertheless there are some instructions and it would be good to get in touch either via email or phone. When suddenly the phone rang and our host called. We could get all the information easily. There were instructions how to use the free parking as well and cautiously not to mistakenly end up on paid parking. We had a nice tidy room with a modern bathroom. I slept well and couldn't await to look out of the window in daylight. There's not too much to see just some green. Breakfast is solid, eggs and really tasty orange juice, some cheese, bread and so on. We had a warm welcome in the morning. Upon checkout I asked for maybe some electricity to charge the car. We were offered access to the garage and I could charge on a normal socket. I put it to a max. of 10A, so it wouldn't overheat. I'm surprised of that friendly gesture and am very pleased.

Hotel Les esclargies is on the top of Rocamadour at 300m to the chateau and 300m to the main office center. Located in the heart of a oaks park, the hotel have a private parking . All our bedrooms have private bathroom (bath or shower), with heated rail, hairdryer, and toilets. Our customers have the possibility of choosing individually the temperature of their room (heating or air conditioning). All the rooms have flat screen television, free internet access. We have 2 privilege rooms accessible to the people with reduced mobility. In our lounge, near the chimney, a computer is available free of charge for customers who would like to connect to Internet. Our outside swimming pool is opened during the summer season. The breakfast is served in the form of warm buffet with fruit juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit and dried fruits, cereal, croissants and similar products, fresh bread, jams, honey, homemade cakes, cheese, scrambled eggs, smoked bacon.

Good but the Flies
Reviewed By cjdotheworldWe had a decent room. The food was good. The Internet was spotty and a problem. The flies were horrible. Outside was bad enough but when we went to breakfast indoors and coudn't eat due to the flies, that was too much.

Pleasant hotel shame about the coffee
Reviewed By 478annhAn externally attractive well situated hotel in the centre of the old town . Hotel parking very near by was very good . The hotel interior is a little dated with drab decoration but the room was essentially clean and comfortable . We declined breakfast as we prefer just a cup of coffee in the mornings . We asked the restaurant area serving breakfast for a coffee and that we would pay directly. For some reason this was too much to ask . There was a coffee machine there but clearly not to provide a guest with a coffee . The waiter was off hand and said it wasn’t possible . We were astounded at the lack of customer service . We went along the street to another hotel where we were greeted with courtesy and had a very nice coffee !

The Hotel du Chateau is a family run hotel at the top of Rocamadour, easily accessed and near to the Chateau itself, the lifts and the chemin de croix which leads to the sanctuaries. The hotel has 57 room all with bath or shower and WC, telephone, television, air-conditioning and free wi-fi access There are also extensive grounds, a heated swimming pool, a hard tennis court and a large, free car park.

Reviewed By Colleen GWe came for a special night away and booked a superior double room. We arrived a little before 3.30pm expecting just to be able to leave luggage as we were early. The 'hotel' was locked up and empty, devoid of any human presence. A French couple who arrived at the same time were also very confused. We returned later in the day to find a person at reception. We were then told breakfast was €11 extra each and there is no evening meal as the restaurant is closed. We had been told previously that the pool was closed, but no mention of having to drive to nearest restaurant for food. No bar either. Our 'superior room was very basic with 2 tea bags 2 coffee sachets but no form of milk, but mostly clean. Over all very disappointed and would not recommend to anybody. Lots of others we could have stayed at.

Lovely location
Reviewed By ZutotHad a very nice stay here in beautiful Rocamadour. Amazing location with views of the castle and mountains. The rooms are quite compact, but all you need for a short stay. Breakfast is very tasty with a nice selection of items. Check in was confusing as there was no one at reception when we arrived and we had to call a restaurant in town for them to send someone to give us our key, but it was all fine in the end. I would stay here again for sure.
