Service was very friendly and professional however drink and meal delivery was slow and it usually is here. There seems to be some inefficiency somewhere in the process because whether they are quiet or busy the time between ordering and delivery always seems to be slow. The food is reliably better than good without being amazing. I never feel ripped off money wise but I do feel someone has stolen an extra 30 minutes of my time whenever we have lunch or dinner here.

Mamma Mia Trattoria Pizzeria

Mamma Mia is very popular with most tables occupied on a weekend night. There is an energy and buzz about this place as people happily chat and feast. Our party had the puttanesca pasta, gnocchi bolognese and al capone pizza. The meals were satisfying with a cost of around $27 for the average meal. Service is good on the whole.

I was getting some work done on my car and decided to grab pizzas for the guys at the workshop and myself, after being overcharged for the pizzas, garlic bread and drinks, I was hoping they would be great, But sadly there was minimal toppings on 2 of the pizzas, the 3rd was average, and at $40 for the lot I would have expected a lot better value and more than half a handful of toppings, a lot better pizzas can be found anywhere else.

A couple we often go out to dinner with mentioned that the Courier Mail had recommended Manny's Italian. So the four of us duly booked for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant it was typically Italian, noisy and busy. Three of us decided to start with bruschetta and the other with Wagyu meatballs. Whatever bread was used in the bruschetta seemed to be several days old. The crusts were like leather and quite inedible and I think the bread had been fried. There was little taste to the topping. Very disappointing. The meat balls were OK but the roast tomato sauce was lacking in flavour. The mains consisted of a Manny's pizza (base was soggy and did not look very appetising }, herb crumbed chicken schnitzel (lacking in flavour apart from the wedge of lemon supplied) lamb rump (cut up on the plate like food for the dog but otherwise not too bad) sage and prosciutto veal parmigiana (pronounced as lack lustre). Unfortunately the terrible bruschetta was a bad start which put a cloud over the rest of the meal. We did not stay for dessert. I am surprised as other reviews seem generally positive but considering the bill was $170 (we brought our own wine) we will not be in a hurry to return. Perhaps the Courier Mail should re check their rating.
