We were a party of 10, a birthday surprise lunch for my wife, and we were lucky to get the table upstairs. The restaurant is tiny but nice, and the service very good.About the food: Mushroom croquettes were tasty and they are a must. Bream (besugo in Spanish) was great, we shared a big one among four and had a turbot too (rodaballo in Spanish). Some people had sirloin with foie and they were very satisfied too.Would certainly recommend it if you enjoy good food.

200 meters far from the Guggenheim museum, this restaurant is a perfect choice to have a very good meal in a cozy and elegant location. The restaurant is chic and welcoming, quite big but still I would recommend to have a reservation (mainly evenings and weekends). We had a sit in what I believe is the best place you can have, close to the kitchen, where you can have a look at the chef while he's grilling meat and fish or finalizing his artworks.Quite some options in the menu, we had oysters as starters, as well as some croquettes (with octopus and with local ham), both delicious. We then had a warm starter with mushrooms, egg and potatoes, to eventually have two amazing meat based courses: dados de solomillo and a yakitori iberico. The menu is made of dishes that are supposed to be shared, to enjoy more than a single one while having lunch/dinner here.We paid 40 Euro each, a few glass of wine included. Not that expensive, for a meal experience that worths the visit.Dear @GregorioIndelicato, thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you loved your experience; our staff will definitely be happy to read what you wrote. We put customer experience and satisfaction as our priority, and your review reaffirms the hard work we put in every day. We were totally blown away by the excellence of this little restaurant. Its simplicity in decor adds to the charm and gives no clue as to the magic which we were subsequently served. We'd heard about "the broccoli" and tried it.... fantastic. Every dish was innovative and beautifully presented. No way was this a meal of style over substance - it was total style and unbeatable substance.Thank you again for an unforgettable meal.

An informal restaurant, designed so that people from Bilbao and those who visit us can enjoy a more than excellent dinner at a reasonable price. As an objective, focus on food and on your ability to get excited and have fun, in the local essential product
At the reservation I was asked to specify à la carte or their tasting menu. We chose the smaal tasting menu (which was packed with flavors...). Extanobe is quiet, friendly staff, well timed and they do take care of intollerencies to food. It was a wonderful evening.

First of all, service is excellent. They really take time to make guests feel welcome and to explain the menu. We had the steak tartare, gyoza style dumplings, octopus, and the forest for dessert. Everything was tasty and well prepared. The dessert was absolutely beautiful! Also kudos for being flexible with portion sizing.

Breakfast, lunchs, snacks every day and dinners Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Delicious and juicy spanish tortilla, roast of the day everyday, homemade food and cakes (carrot cake, Brownie, lemon meringue pie, pudding,...) just renovated
We stopped in because of the great TA reviews and they were right on the money. We had fish stew, chicken teriyaki, and the roasted vegetable salad. They were great values, large portions, and fresh well presented ingredients. If you've never tried the patron peppers, then this is a great opportunity to give them a try. The owner and her family go out of the way to make your dining experience wonderful.
