Perfect place to come with a group of friends/family!

The honesty bar, excellent breakfast from local farmers, reasonable price, great communal areas, comfortable bed, huge bathroom with great shower pressure, perfect location for exploring Priorat and the wineries. Very close to at least a half dozen wineries and the monastery. Every one of the seven rooms has its own terrace and the view of the vineyards is unbelievable. You can't help but be relaxed and happy here. Apparently they had a cancellation because we were upgraded to the family suite, which as a living room style additional area next to the bedroom that can be closed off for privacy. We loved everything about this hotel but the noise. Keep in mind this is working winery, and the workers are going to show up and do their work promptly at 8am . . . regardless of whether you want to sleep in, or have been up late at night indulging at the honesty bar. The family suite is right next to the winery's office, and the walls are very thin. That's our only complaint. If you're a light sleeper this will be a problem for you. If not, definitely book. This place is wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked the same place on the way back into Barcelona for our flight out. This time, we bought the breakfast too and it was not bad. We had an ocean view, sort of. The bed was comfortable, the sheets nice and there was an air conditioner and a nice patio. It is a quaint little town and was very quiet with lots of places still closed due to the off season.

Restaurant, economical with a good choice, they really overfilled us. Continental buffet breakfast was probably the best we have ever had. We will definitely stop there on our next trip to Italy. Super value for money. 5 mins to the motorway.

Perfect place to explore the delta region
Reviewed By Danreds18This is one of the best hotels in the Delta Region. Very close to a wonderful long sandy beach, Nature reserves such as riet vell and lots of bird-watching areas are close by. The restaurant attached to the hotel serves great food and priced very well for the quality. There is a small supermarket and campsite opposite where you can also rent bikes for the day. Its location is perfect to explore. The Staff are very friendly and the rooms are good and very clean. One word of caution the area is full of mosquito's so bring lots of repellent.

Reviewed By carolcK6615XIWe spent two nights at Masia Tinet at the end of August 2018. We had the Fonsa Room, which was lovely, and the whole property was beautifully maintained. Breakfasts were delicious, and enjoyed an outstanding dinner one night, prepared on the premises. We even dipped into the very attractive pool one evening. As bird watchers, the location was perfect for us to explore the Ebro River Delta. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Splendid hotel in the center of the charming medieval village.There are 8 comfortable double rooms each decorated in its own style. All the rooms are in the first floor and they are distributed around to two large living rooms. All them have their own bathroom and central heating. Two of the rooms have their own terraces with tables and chairs provided to relax in, and two rooms also have their own sitting room, with fireplace, a little mini-bar and a TV set.Especially recommended for couples of all ages and groups of up to 17 people.
A Hotel that Feels like a Museum
Reviewed By Frank KWe had a delightful stay in the Cal Maginet Hotel. It’s a large, ancient building converted into a lovely hotel. There are so many interesting spaces and artifacts that the hotel also feels like a museum. Our room was a good size and had everything you would expect in a nice hotel. The woman in charge is very friendly and helpful. The hotel also contains a restaurant and she seems to be involved in both so she is quite busy. The rooms are reasonably priced and include a very nice breakfast which offered breads, croissant, fruit, cheese, yogurt, ham, sausages, tomatoes, coffee, and orange juice. The hotel is located in the very center of the small village of Vilaverd. It is located in a scenic, hilly, green, rural area of Cataluña, near the town of Montblanc. There is a free village parking area very close to the hotel but would be very hard to find on your own. It’s not shown on Google Maps. We stopped our car and asked a local person where the parking area is. He was happy to point it out. It was wonderful to stroll around this charming old town in the evening. And the impressive World Heritage Site of Poblet Monastery is only a 17 minute drive from Vilaverd. I highly recommend staying at Cal Maginet.

Should be more than a two star
Reviewed By Mel8135What a wonderful hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights with my mother whilst selling a local property so was in need of a stress-free stay. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely staff at reception who immediately allowed us to store out large luggage there rather than drag them to our room. The hotel itself was spotless. All communal areas were thoroughly cleaned and our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels & sheets. I would have liked a kettle but they don't come supplied in many Catalonian hotels so if you need an early morning cup of tea then take a personal one. Also, there were just two tiny sachets of soap/shower gel provided so take a quick trip to the local spar. The room included a continental breakfast which was perfectly adequate and well set out. Again the breakfast staff were so professional and polite and really made us welcome. The hotel was situated near the beach and I could hear the waves lapping on the shore in the morning which was an added bonus and the general location was perfect with bars and cafes within a short walk. I absolutely loved this hotel and will certainly return.

Reviewed By AnnieL808This was a great find and excellent value for a one star hotel. It is a family run business who are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning. There is a shaded courtyard for breakfast which is a lovely place to sit and eat the included breakfast which is plentiful, tasty and with unlimited good coffee. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach but this makes it a very quiet hotel for sleeping I would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Cambrils
