We sat down and ordered some drinks and although at the top end of our budget (6 students) we thought weâd get a few plates to share. However, when the waiter realised we werenât going to be spending a lot of money and only ordering a few plates (the potatas gravas costs â¬12 and comes in a roof tile if you like that thing) he seemed disinterested in us and drink orders were forgotten but placed on the bill.The food was okay, fab if you want to get a new Instagram picture! However, I canât be a fair judge as we only ordered a few dishes and shared so didnât get a full taste of the menu!Maybe if you have a larger budget this place could be good but for 6 students travelling I wouldnât recommend going here. Almazen Cafe was just round the corner from the apartment we stayed at in Seville, and we visited the cafe for breakfast most mornings. The cafe feels really cosy and relaxed. The coffee was great, as was the âjuice of the dayâ. We tried most things on the menu during our stay, all of which were good. We particularly enjoyed the Greek bowl. My only criticism would be that sometimes we were waiting for quite a while for parts of our order, for example the baguette to go with the two fried eggs. But we were on holiday with nowhere to rush off to, so it wasnât a huge problem for us. Excellent on the whole, and weâre missing our breakfasts in Seville already!

We found this restaurant not very far from plaza del Duque and we had a great experience. The chef Gonzalo was a great host and was very helpful explaining us the menu and giving us advice on what to order. The ingredients are locally sourced, good quality, and fresh. They also have a few vegetarian options and some of them are vegan. The cuisine is traditional but with the chef's personal touch. If you want to try something different in Seville this restaurant is a good choice.Thank you very much Juan M. We were staying nearby and this was a delicious last night out in Seville. Very friendly service tolerating our trial of Spanish patiently. Our waiter politely explained the menu and our initial dubious wine choice...The croquettes were so delicious I canât remember what else we ate but it was all great.

We had some excellent salads at this restaurant for lunch which was a welcome break from regular Spanish cuisine. A wide selection of salads were available with all sorts of fresh ingredients as well as nuts, sliced meat, and tuna. They also offer a good selection of fresh fruits and yummy deserts. This is a good choice for lunch in the heart of Seville near the Cathedral tower.You describe perfectly what we are and what we offer. Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. Cuchareo (that could be translated as "going spooning") is a typical Andalusian word which refers to traditional home-made meals eaten with spoons. Cristina and Anselmo, the owners of decuchareo28, aim at recuperating the old concept in Southern Spain of "casas de comidas", that is, places where the people went to have lunch every day, feeling like at home, not only in terms of food, but also surrounded by a friendly atmosphere. I have to say that they have really achieved their goal: in a city full of "nouvelle-cuisine" gastro-bars, it is refreshing to have this marvelous little restaurant with typical Sevilian dishes made the traditional way and surrounded by locals. As a resident in Seville, I strongly recommend decuchareo28 if you really want to taste this beautiful and magical city
