It borders the spa town of Lisdoonvarna. It is a noted centre of traditional Irish music, which is played nightly in its pubs, making it a popular tourist destination. There are numerous nearby archaeological sites, many dating to the Iron Age and earlier. Doonagore Castle and Ballinalacken Castle are also in the area. This cafe is situated in a beautiful location 15K from Ballyvaghan. Lovely restaurant with great views of the surroundings. Large selection of cakes and tarts to choose from if you want an afternoon coffee. For the last two years we have had dinner there as part of a large cycling group. The staff kept the restaurant open for us and provide great food. Chef is top class, great home made soups, main courses are interesting and deilcious.Deserts are very berry good too. Would recommend for a quick stop or a full on meal.

We both ordered Irish stew the quality which will always reflect the beef used. On this occasion it was a little tough and chewy. The waitress was cheerful and the servings were generous. The atmosphere was compromised by the loud radio station playing in the background.

What a great little find in the township of Liscannor. The inn had prompt and friendly service and great ambience. The food was absolutely amazing and definitely deserves itâs Michelin rating. If you are in the area I would definitely dine here as you wonât be disappointed.

Had Salmon and it was so fresh and beautifully cooked. Not a big place but nice atmosphere. It was busy the night we went but all added to the feel of the place. Not too expensive and great quality of service.

Great music service was crowded. It turned out better than Gus O'Connors, which surprised me. Food was good the beer was reasonable as was wine. Will recommend everyone.

McGann's which has a higher rating than McDermott's was closed, so we went to McDermott's. We are glad we did! It was great! The atmosphere is pure Irish, the food was excellent, the beer cold and the staff friendly. I had the duck, which was maybe the best meal I've had in Ireland, and my wife had the prawns, which she also thought was outstanding. We sipped on a few beers until the entertainment started at 9:00. They were good as well and capped off a terrific evening.A very good spot!
