Amazing Service and Friendly People

This was the first hotel I stayed in before starting my Camino walk officially! I had started my journey in Leon via Barcelona and Madrid and had been traveling for a few days so I wanted a proper hotel before beginning my hike and I wanted a good nights rest. This hotel was more than I needed it was like new clean and I had my own bathroom in the room I stayed in. The innkeeper gave me a ride up the mountain to the next town early the next morning this was free of charge but I gave him a small tip. The hotel is attached to a restaurant which was Top notch too! Unused Camino Facil or JacoTrans to take my backpack over the mountains to Samos as this was a Very long day of hiking for me and it worked out perfectly! I highly recommend!

Had a lovely room (No.2) overlooking the street. Bright & Clean. Check-in lady was great, very friendly, helpful & welcoming. Kitchen & washing facilities if you need them. Good value, only thing would be softer pillows!!

A very good overnight stop on the Camino

Reviewed By 616nwil

It was exceptional. The location was perfect, right on the Camino de Santiago as you come into Triacastela. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. My bike was locked securely in the store-room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was of a decent size with windows overlooking the road, which had very little traffic, so no noise. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was very good. I had no complaints.

The music gave this place atmosphere

Reviewed By Zaphod125

This is a bar on the Camino de Santiago. We stopped by here as we were approaching Portomarin for a drink. The music was playing which created a good atmosphere. It was really busy, we had to nab a table and some chairs and take it into the shade. The beers were very much needed on a hot day

Cash only but nice place for price

CASH ONLY. Climb up stairs. Free coffee and tea. Nice kitchen. Has terrace. Friendly staff. Had a private room with a shared bath and in my room I actually have a little sink as well. Room is about 11x13. Twin bed. Clean and I have my own balcony with a hanger to dry my clothes on. I haven't seen the bathroom shower yet.

Lovely location

Reviewed By NMD74007

We had opted for the private room which opened straight in to the communal room, which unfortunatley although we werent noisy or loud they went to bed about 8pm (as we had only arrived about 6pm we didnt) so going to the toilet and brush teeth was an issue after they had complained to my son for his flipflops making noise!!! Ok facilities would be great if weather was a bit warmer as they had lovely outdoor areas, also the kitchen area had a seating place that had a beautiful fire but the room was long and narrow but wasnt enough space beside it once another few people were in there. Also the facility had an indoor and outdoor toilet/shower the outdoor one was cold and shower was broken however the man who checked us in didnt bother to tell us about the indoor one, which also annoyed other residents as we had to open the door to go out to the toilet which was off the communal room. However once another guest told us about the other bathroom it made things easier. I wouldnt have bothered paying for the private room as it really didnt matter. Also the room has damp on the walls, which to be fair had we not have to be holed up in there so much we may not have noticed

One of the best places we have stayed with. Extra treats like real towels, sheets, bath gels and shampoo are a rarity on the Camino trail. The place is very clean and spacious. Best of all it’s located right at the end of the Camino trail for Lourenzá.

Average and boring hostel

Reviewed By arlo_carlo

First of all, we had to wait until 6pm as the hostel was closed before. It seemed that we were the only people in the hostel even though it was August already. The hostel itself is just a bunch of rooms without any life in it. Well, it was a clean place to sleep, but not more. Wouldn't stay here again. The most funny thing: Our room was locked using an electronic lock but had direct access to the public bathrooms via a door which could only be closed from the bathroom. E.g. anyone had access to our room :)
