Bar El Olivo is an excellent place to grab some quality tapas and light meals. I live fairly locally and I have had several meals and drinks there with friends. The bar is interesting with a quirky interior. The staff are super friendly, polite and efficient. 9/10 from me.

I had goats cheese salad and the red pesto pasta and they were divine. The couple have welcomed me as a friend each time I have gone. Everyone sitting on the seating area outside was at some point having a laugh with the owner. Such a lovely place to go. Try it. If you book in advance then they can cook your choice of Italian food. Closed on Thursday afternoon and Wednesday. PS lovely tapas too

Un restaurante distinto en un pueblo donde los comensales están acostumbrados a la comida rápida y barata, por lo que creo que le va a costar abrirse camino. Y es una pena porque la carta es muy atractiva, son cosas bastante elaboradas y a unos precios muy asequibles. Además, el trato es magnÃfico tanto por parte de la dueña como del camarero. No como en dichos bares de sota, caballo y rey donde te lanzan la comida como a los caballos. Además, te obsequian con algún plato tÃpico de su cocina que incomprensiblemente no está en la carta, aunque deberÃa porque están buenÃsimos.De lo mejor de Alcalá sin duda. Muy buena relación calidad/precio. Yo espero que se vayan abriendo camino, porque sin duda esperamos volver.

The food is very pleasant and it is nice to sit in a proper restaurant for a change. Not the best Italian restaurant I have been to but very big portions and fresh produce.

My wife and I have been coming to Alcala La Real every year since 2009 and staying for a month there (great cycling around the area). Choosing our food is very important to us and eating out every day lunch and dinner in different restaurants in Alcala have made us very familiar with the different outlets there, I I must say that The Torrepalma just continuously offers the best quality food in town, always fresh and generous portions for a fair price.... can't go wrong there.Julio & Janice from Dubai

Very very good food! Fish was fresh and delicious. We had tuna and fish of the day. Bread was amazing as well. Really nice and friendly waiter too. I really recommend this place!

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch after visiting the Fortaleza. Our host was very accommodating of our lack of Spanish and assisted us with photos on an iPad of the dishes available. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered, along with the mini taps that came with our drinks. Highly recommend!
