Úbeda (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈuβeða]; from Arabic Ubbada al-`Arab and this from Iberian Ibiut) is a town in the province of Jaén in Spain's autonomous community of Andalusia, with some 36,025 inhabitants. Both this city and the neighbouring city of Baeza benefited from extensive patronage in the early 16th century resulting in the construction of a series of Renaissance style palaces and churches, which have been preserved ever since. In 2003, UNESCO declared the historic cores and monuments of these two towns a World Heritage Site.

The place is unspectacular, has plastic tables and chairs and the menu is small. But they had excellent see food and fish and were great advising us what to eat. It was fresh, fairly priced, nicely cooked. Test also their olive oil, sooo great! I highly recommend the place! (and I am Spanish)Muchísimas gracias!!! Me alegro atenderlos..

Nice, modern tiny gastrobar. Excellent location in the middle of renaissance town Úbeda. Cozy terrace under the trees. Very tasty food and also interesting vegetarian dishes. We had delicious selection of croquetas, tomato carpaccio with parmesan cheeese and spicy patatas bravas. So nice local feeling and friendly service.

'Ubeda is well worth a Mass'. Misa de 12, 12 o'clock Mass, is an unusual restaurant, lacking some comforts. It is a tavern with just a few square meters where with a bit of luck you will get one stool and some room to place your viands. It is small and ma

Situated on the corner of Plaza 1 mayo, we stopped here for lunch and were not disappointed. Excellent food and great selection of wine with friendly service. Whilst we were there people were queuing for seats to become available rather than go to one of the other restaurants nearby. Very enjoyable.

The food was good and the menu was varied. The servers were extremely kind to us, as we ate here for our very first dinner in Spain. We sat inside, which was bright and cozy, and there were also tables outside.Hi,Thanks a lot for your comment. Nice to hear you like our food and local. Hope to see you again in another occasion. On our visit to Ubeda we’re looking for a light lunch and came past this wonderful gem, the delicious smell stoped us on our tracks and went in. We had a goat cheese and gulas salad and artichoke flowers both dishes were beautifully presented and delicious, the attention was superb. I wish Luma a bright future in this restaurant. Thank you so much. You can see that they have passion in what they do.

I booked this restaurant for my husband David's birthday after reading good reviews.First impressions a very nice tasteful interior. We were given salted peanuts with our gin and tonics, not a good combination and unexpected in a high class restaurant. This set the tone for the very dissapointing meal which followed. We were shown to our table which was so brightly lit we asked for some of the lights to be turned off. As we were the only diners it would have been nice to be given one of the romantic cosy corner tables. Then came a plate of olives, straight from a jar of salted brine, no marinade. Our first course of trout tartar was very good. Then came fillet steak tough and almost cold with small garnishes this was sent back. The beef rib was good but very fatty. For dessert a chocolate coulant straight from the microwave, came swimming in a very cold cream sauce and strangely served with a finely chopped fruit salad. With wine and water this extremely poor meal was 99 euros, this only included one main course. We definitely would not recommend this restaurant.

Ubeda isn't short of very good restaurants and this one is certainly amongst them. The main restaurant is furnished as an "Orient Express" train carriage with lovely wood marquetry panelling. The menu isn't overly long ( we didn't want the multi course tasting option) which allows focus on getting things just right. Nice presentation ( perhaps a little dated by the best international standards) but stunning intense flavours. Plus you can drink very good wines at a fraction of the absolutely ridiculous restaurant wine mark ups prevalent in the UK. Final bill for three courses , drinks and service just under 200 Euro for 4 people. Excellent value in a high standard restaurant

Place that imitates the Moorish style, but without creating the atmosphere. The air conditioning was particularly felt, despite the cool and rainy day. We asked several times to raise the temperature a little, but in vain. At lunch the place was full, so I suggest to book a day in advance, even the choice of dishes in the menu. There were four of us inside a larger group, and we ordered fixed price menus, which also included a drink. A waiter brought us a bottle of wine, not requested, and which we did not drink. At the time of paying on our bill we found 18 euros more for that bottle of wine !!!Overall we ate discreetly, but I've eaten better in other restaurants in Ubeda, even with a nicer service. I do not think I'd go there again.

Although we were staying at about 20 minutes walk from this place, we decided to visit it because comments made on tripadvisor were excellent. Luckily for us they are open on Mondays! With our basic Spanish and few words of English we ordered nice wine and went with the by our waiters recommended Tuna. As in this area, every drink comes with tapas, very delightful. The meal was well prepared, very tasteful, well spiced and they also have a lot of attention for the presentation of the food. (Which in my experience is more an exception than rule around here).Prices are very acceptable and for this level of dining could even be called low. It is not the most charming place or within the centre of the town but if you fancy no nonsense good food and a small walk or short drive, this is the place to go.Hola estimado clientes.
