Our hosts from Sant Cugat selected this restaurant when we offered to take them to dinner. It seems to be off the beaten path in a residential neighbourhood but that was part of the charm. The restaurant is a renovated farm house - lovely old stone structure. It was a beautiful evening so we ate on the patio. There are no english menus so we asked our hosts to order for us. They chose some typical catalonian food and I must say we really enjoyed it. We loved the appetizer with bread, tomatoes, garlic and olive oil. You cut these lovely small tomatoes in half and rub them on the bread and then discard the skin. If you want garlic then you peel the garlic and rub it on the bread first followed by the tomato. Then you drizzle olive oil and add a bit of salt. Bruschetta catalonian style! We also had some grilled peppers - some were spicy, others not. Our mail course was beef grilled at the table on cast iron grills. It was very good. We finished the meal with some lovely typical catalonian desserts. I had one with cheese and honey and walnuts. I really enjoyed it. The house wine was fantastic. I liked it so much I took some home with me!

Visited for Sunday lunch (7 of us) and ate on the terrace. Very busy. Attentive staff. The chorizos, blood sausage, patatas bravas and provoleta were good starters - but when the meat arrived you knew these people were skilled; cooked with confidence and flourish. Huge portions ( they permit doggy-bags) and lovely setting. Very contented with that experience.

Saturday morning:The restaurant sent me an SMS, I cannot beleive what I'm reading, "reservation canceled due to an administrative error" Then I call back and they didnt know what to tell me, the reason to canceled was full of doubts..Why they really canceled our reservartion? Will never know, but I tell you what:This "mistake" is unforgivable and I will never eat there..(Isolated case?)Dear Marc S,Thank you for your feedback on our Trip Advisor profile.We are deeply regret that day you could not eat at our restaurant El Mirador de Can Cases. What happened is that you requested a reservation through a reservation platform called "restaurants.com". That request arrived to us and we declined because the restaurant was full. Sorry because the person who answered the phone (some waiter, but no one responsible for the reservations) did not give a convincing answer to you.We hope to see you again. Good typical catalonian restaurant in the city center of Sant Cugat.Service really professional and the food quality high in all the plates offered by the restaurant specially lamp and bacalao at grill.Beef and iberican pork at good level too, wine portfolio just and focus on catalan wines and some rioja (little beat basic in my oppinion)In general good restaurant special for dinner with friends, family or business trip.

I went there for dinner last night with my son and we really enjoyed it a lot.The restaurant is placed in a charming area,centrally located,with a parking very close ,so easy to access.Very nice welcome,very efficient service,the waiter doing the effort to speak French to please us.Design of the room is pleasant and there's enough space between tables to allow discussion without disturbing anybody.We went for meat and tried the Argentinian one as well as Japanese Wagyu...All well done and cooked precisely as requested.The wine list is large and allows wine pairing easily.We will be back for sure when in Sant Cugat.

We had a family lunch here last Sunday and it was delicious! We had a selection of starters to share and our main courses, all cooked from the grill, consisted of a tuna steak, chicken breast kebab, fillet steaks and hamburgers. Everything was cooked to perfection! The portions are generous and the service was great. Outdoor seating has beautiful views over the area. This was our second visit to La Rampa and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. A great local restaurant. Recommended.
