After a few days in Barcelona when we were only eating at tapas places, we wanted to try something different, "slower" and I, as a wine-lover, wanted to go somewhere where I can try wines that are not mainstream. After reading few reviews on this place, I thought this is it and I was right. The restaurant is rather small but has a nice family atmosphere. The owner spoke excellent English and described us all dishes on the menu. We tried excellent wines but what I appreciated the most was not only the selection of wines but how the owner described the wines I asked him about. He also said he picked most of the wines by himself. In other restaurants and tapas bars in Baracelona, they only told me try this or try that but when I asked about details, they were usually not able to tell me much about the wine, the producer, etc. We had a great shrimps starter which followed by 500g eco t-bone steak. The meat was cooked to perfection and the taste was very rich - a little piece of heaven! We wrapped up the dinner with excellent deserts (an unusual variation on tiramisu and caramel desert similar to Panna Cota). All meals were very nicely arranged and you could feel the ingredients were top notch! The prices are more than reasonable for what you get. I'll definitely come back when I visit Barcelona next time.

Restaurant and hotel share great modern design. Friday dinnertime was quite empty, as location is away from town, but close to subway stop.Food was remarkably inconsistent. The hummus/guacamole eggplant appetizer and house recommended pork main course were below average, with the pork being very overcooked, tough and not very tasty. Octopus appetizer was well done. The goat main course was excellent, as were the chocolate and pistachio crema/passion fruit sorbet deserts. Excellent and reasonably priced wine recommended by waiter. Overall mixed experience with two relatively poor courses, and other great courses. The wine recommendation was greatly appreciated.

Best place in the quarter (probably in the whole city!!!!) to lunch and dinner.Premium quality and very, very well treated products. Imaginative dishes, beautifully presented and perfect care staff (attentive without invading your space). Relaxed atmosphere with good music at the appropriate volume. Good wines, well baked bread and good coffee. Reasonable prices. Samuel has found the perfect recipe to cook the best meals in the city.

Went here for a business lunch and had the best meal of my entire trip to Barcelona this time. Excellent service - the waiter recited the entire menu in English - that was attentive without being _too_ attentive.It's only a fixed-price menu with a good choice of starters and mains. I opted for potato soup as a starter and entrecote for the main, both of which were amazing. Top it off with a small slice of lemon tart and you have the perfect meal. Definitely go there if you're in the area.

Debut opened recently on a quiet street in L´Hospitalet and provides a whole new dynamic to dining in this suburb of Barcelona. The daily menu is around 12⬠and includes three courses, all of which are modern and inventive takes on local Catalonian foods.Drinks are also good value and sourced locally. The owner speaks excellent English and all the staff are super helpful and welcoming!Its becoming so popular with the locals the only problem is that you have to book in advance! I recommend that you do!

We were looking for a steak restaurant & saw La Pepa. We decided on a traditional âegg bowlâ with potatoes, fried eggs, & Iberian ham. While not a steak, it was delicious! Our server, who did not speak English, worked with us to explain what this dish was & we were not disappointed. It was an excellent portion size (I actually left a few potatoes) and the meal was inexpensive. Having a similar âegg bowlâ elsewhere, La Pepa was the winner!
