Only stayed overnight in Piet Retief and visited this restaurant on recommendation from the Hotel.
The staff were excellent, as was the food and plenty of it too!
The restaurant had a nice warm homely feel to it, as did the food.
Would not hesitate to return and recommend to anyone else.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having lunch at Sunrise Café on Monday, 22 February 2016.
The restaurant is perfectly situated within a garden setting and boasts comfortable inside and outside Seating areas. The restaurant is filled with cute sign posts and art and crafts items which add to the inviting and warm ambience.
Our waitress welcomed us with true and heartfelt hospitality and served us with friendly smiles throughout our meal.
The menu boasts a wide variety to choose from and is very reasonably priced. My husband ordered the chicken schnitzel with cheese sauce. He chose creamed spinach and carrots as a side dish. His schnitzel was golden brown on the outside and succulent and tender on the inside. He thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite.
I ordered the prawn cocktail. My cocktail was topped with four large succulent prawns. The smaller prawns in the dish were lightly covered in a heavenly sauce which instantly let my taste buds do the Tango.
The food at Sunrise Cafe is prepared with fresh ingredients, passion, love and care and we will most definitely return to sample on the mouthwatering menu and relaxing ambience.

I bought lunch for my colleague and I ordered the cbicken salad with tangy Tomotoe marinade. The lettuce was so fresh and crispy, however the best part was the feta add on for and when I opened it, the amount of feta they gave me was amazing. Honestly one of the best meals inhave had at Nandos. BEV MOORE

Super with kids. I, together with three colleagues, went for dinner at Munch on Thursday14 December. It came highly recommended, so thus the expectation was rather high. It was so that the restaurant was full and we had to wait for a table. No problem, as there is a bar that one can wait at. When shown to our tables and after taking our seat, the wait began. Quite sometime passed before we were asked for an order and then it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. The food was good but the lack of service and poor attentiveness to customers diluted to experience. Perhaps the busy evening caught them off guard and sincerely hope that a future experience will be better.

Its a fairly typical wimpy. The service is good and the food on a par with most other Wimpy's. The only complaint is that there are apparently only 3 seats that have plugs available for charging computers etc.

The exterior of the building is not very attractive and even the inside cave effect not everybody's cup of tea. But whatever it lacks in looks the chef made up in quality food. My fillet was cooked to perfection and was very tasty as was the side dishes. I did appreciate the fact that the non smoking area was totally cordoned of from the rest. The coffee was also of high quality, I would however prefer better quality cutlery.

This gem of a diner is next to the local Tyremart which is very convenient. It is also pretty central.The staff are most friendly and the food great. Highly recommended!
