Veloc Cafe is a wonderful little restaurant with a stunning view of the old cathedral. The owner couldnât speak English but actually went and google translated on his phone every time we needed help understanding. He was very friendly, very helpful and a real delight. He makes 2 hot dishes daily from fresh ingredients. We got the duck leg on fresh mashed potatoes and carrots in orange. We shared all 3 of his fresh cakes; apricot and apple; chocolate and nut and lastly yogurt bread with fresh jams. His wife works the cafe next door and she makes coffees and muffins and croissants. Really recommend this place

Perfect for a decent cheap meal. Often gets too busy at the weekends and school holidays. As with all Flunch - buy your meal and eat as much veg as you want.

En passant par la Dordogne nous souhaitions déjeuner rapidement. Cette boulangerie pâtisserie qui fait également sandwicherie et restauration rapide est une très belle halte que je recommande.Vous pouvez y déguster des sandwichs "de luxe", wraps, salades... pour un pris tout à fait raisonnable. N'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter.

I've been on the lookout for a cocktail in France that wasn't a tacky summer-tourist thing, and I finally found one at the silver owl. The ambience was nice, areas are sectioned and divided by different furniture, providing different moods.The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English, but allowed us to practice our French.

Liked the look of the restaurant and stopped for lunch. Best meal we had during our holiday. Really very good. Excellent service too.
