Pennsylvania, United States Food Guide: 6 Asian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Philadelphia

September 9, 2019 Claudia Navarrete

Reviews on Asian food in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. One of the most historic cities in America, Philadelphia is an ideal place to spend a weekend - preferably a long one. Be sure to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed. Both are part of Independence National Historic Park. Philadelphia also boasts some outstanding art museums, including the Rodin Museum. The Franklin Institute Science Museum is one of many area attractions honoring the life and work of Benjamin Franklin, the city's most famous ambassador. After digesting all of that history, be sure you save room for a classic Philly cheese steak sandwich.

We ordered a variety of dumplings which were all made with a good filling to skin ratio, authentic taste and cooked very well. Reasonably priced. Convenient location. 5* It is a popular place. Often a line up. The atmosphere lowers my rating. People don’t linger, the seats are hard and it is dark inside, so cleanliness is less questionable, but sticky tables gives it away.

We enjoyed our dinner here. You are given a delicious tapanade to eat with their bread. The pasta is all home made and the dinners were excellent. I had shrimp/crab with linguine and a light tomato sauce and my husband had a huge serving of chicken parm. Our server was very nice and the service was quick and good.We are glad that you enjoyed your dinner . Thank you for the kind words! Spasso team

Mid afternoon lunch, greeting by two very nice young ladies both smiling and professional. Tables occupied but not a waiting line seated right away. Waiter was happy and helpful. We had a Dim Sum Sampler and Bento lunch choice of three differnt items. All the food was served eye appeal and was just as good when we ate it. Nice atmosphere while dining, however would reccomend they take down the food stained white curtains and wash them or replace them every so often, toooo many stains for my liking. Would I go back for the food yes

We had a great time the first time here with the tasting menu.....soooo, we decided to do it once again. We made our reservation and were awaiting the same dining experience as the first time.....NOPE....didn't happen. It seems that even if you have a reservation that doesn't count. They tried to wedge us in a banquette that didn't hve the room to get our butts into the space. When we suggested that there were several table available with breathing room they said those were for reservations. When we said we had a reservation it fell on deaf ears....Not caring for the attitude we left without dinner. Sooo, be prepared to either be squeezed into a table or come with several couples because that seems to be the only way you can sit comfortably like we did the first time here, but we won't be going back.

Three of us recently had dinner here on a Saturday night. Reservations were made online and we were eagerly anticipating this meal, being Morimoto fans and having read so many positive reviews of this restaurant. It did not disappoint! We were promptly seated at our reservation time by a friendly hostess and appreciated the interesting decor with the ever changing colors and sense of waves with the architecture. As appetizers we chose the wagyu dumplings and whitefish carpaccio, both were amazing. Two of us had the duck entree and the other had the black cod. Again these were two of the better preparations of these items that we've ever had. Desserts were all on the money with the tea cake being a standout. We also had a few cocktails and those maintained the overall high quality.Service was exceptional throughout the meal.Go here, spend some money and have a fantastic memorable dinner! One tip, keep your eyes open as it's kind of hard to notice the restaurant from the street.

Terakawa Ramen

Reviewed By ScubaKimmy

I eat ramen whenever I can and am picky. I know good ramen from ramen great is nothing more than instant noodle trying to be disguised as ramen. The miso ramen was delicious. I didn’t want it to end. The portion size was perfect with the exact combination of broth, noodle, vegetables, and of course pork. The steamed gyoza was also very good. I wouldn’t say it was the best I had ever had but they were good. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for great Ramen in Chinatown this is the place to visit.
