We have visited numerous times for special occasions and never had a bad meal. Service is usually excellent, I only had less than wonderful service once out of many visits. Its a nice place for a business or "shopping" lunch or for dinner. Reservations are not necessarily required, but if you have a larger party or or coming on a special day such as Mother's day, etc, then I would make one.

Somewhat out of the way pizza place that did not live up to the reviews. Stopped here for take out while traveling through the area. Pizza was so-so. Salads bland. And our order was missing some things. I'm sure I could have found better pizza closer to the highway.I'm sorry to hear about your experience. While I don't agree with your review in any way (except that we are somewhat out of the way), we do appreciate your business and thank you for stopping in.

The Italian Oven Restaurant

Reviewed By prestonbunch

Went here for my husband's birthday for dinner. I ordered a veggie pizza. According to the menu, it had mixed vegetables, red onions, mild peppers and mushrooms. Sounded good. When it came it had cauliflower, carrot coins and broccoli on it. No peppers, no onion, no mushrooms. It was very bland. I thought maybe I had made a mistake in ordering, so I asked the server if I could see the menu again. When she gave me the menu she asked if something was wrong and I pointed out how the pizza didn't match the description on the menu. Her response was, "We always make it that way." I said, "But it doesn't match the menu description. There are no onions, mushrooms, peppers, etc." (And I have never had pizza with carrots on it. It tasted like the frozen mixed vegetables you can buy at the grocery store just heated and dropped on a pizza crust.) She said, "I don't know why it says that, but that's how we always make it." Well, I have no way of knowing that if I haven't ordered that item off the menu before. It was so bland. The server did offer to take it back to the kitchen and ask them to add those items to it, but by then my husband was nearly done with his stromboli and I told her never mind. They did deduct it off my bill. But I would be wary eating there again because the menu descriptions obviously don't match the actual food that is served and they apparently expect people to be okay with that.Hello Prestonbunch, we are sorry about your bad experience with us. We looked into this back in March when we saw this review and we apologize for not replying until now. You were correct about the veggie pizza, they did make your pizza wrong, and everyone now understands what is to be on the pizza. Thank you for saying this, because we were able to address a situation that needed addressed. We are glad they took care of it off the check for you and we want to invite you back again, so please email us at [email protected] so we can try to make it up to you. We do hope to hear from you and that you'll try us again.

Firehouse Pizzeria

Just kidding! Just Kidding! Of course it had firehouse decorations extensively inside and out. Nicely done, too. Young children would especially enjoy looking around inside. We love their white pizza, and it's among the best we've ever had. That's all we've ever ordered. The waitress was exceptional. She offered us some free cookies while we waited. Said she made them herself. Nice touch! She needed some help as the shop started to get busy, and it could have come from the owner sitting on his behind. It didn't. If you're new to the area certainly you should try this one.
