Nice historical building with a modern deck on the back that is almost a separate restaurant. Old people in the restaurant in the old building; younger crowd on the deck. Mainline satisfying food but not a chef's restaurant. Good bar. Lots of parking.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. Until then, I had never heard of it, and I'm really happy she told me about it. Now look, from the front, you might think "what the heck?" because it's kind of in a Howard Johnson's hotel. At least, you have to walk in its entrance to go downstairs to the restaurant. Nothing against Howard Johnson's, but just a heads up so you don't think it's connected to that hotel chain. Okay, getting past that, this place is wonderful for special occasions, or just to really treat yourself to a great meal. It's a bit pricey, though worth every penny. The service is terrific; the ambiance is quite nice; the food is wonderful, and if you don't eat a lot, you certainly get enough to take some home. We also found the server to be very accommodating, changing parts of an offer on the menu more to our liking. And when you get there, be sure to ask the server how the restaurant came to get its name. I found it very creative, as well as touching. We may not be able to afford to eat here every week, but we will certainly be back, and probably not just for a special occasion.

Obviously the beer is good. Expected better food for advertising local fresh ingredients. Meats are dry, food staff (separate from bar) where you order are unfriendly and seem irritated. Also, wonder if you do a separate line with one dedicated staff to fill growlers during busy times like these (Saturday, summer, concert @ Hershey same day) to allow better bar service. Just an idea.
