Reviewed By Felixstowe2016Arrived at this village late in the day using the satnav to locate this hotel on the perimeter of the village with a large car park close by. Welcomed by an English speaking owner and his charming wife and daughter who made us more than welcome. His daughters English was impeccable as was her evening meal, thanks to all. Service Excellent, English yes, Cleanliness Excellent, Price very good what more can you ask for, lovely people.

The hotel bar and restaurant , the Virgen of the spring, can be found within the greater complex of the Sanctuary of Virgen of the spring. The complex consists of a 14th century gothic hermitage alongside a guest house with a porticoed central patio and a Baroque hermitage dating from the end of the 17th century. Surrounded by gardens and the river Tastavins this is a spectacular site. The Gothic hermitage was declared a national monument in 1931and contains a mudejar ceiling which was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
Lovely lunch
Reviewed By Lynda BWe had lunch in this delightful hotel/restaurant/converted convent on a holiday in this lovely region of Spain. The three course menu of the day was €18 a head and was brilliant value for money. We started with delicious cured salmon and a regional tomato dish. This was followed by barbecued pork and fish for me. Pudding were two of the house specialities - a Russian cake and a type of flan. Overall the food was fantastic and all set in the glorious surroundings of this peaceful and beautifully decorated hotel. Service was exquisite and an English speaker was assigned to us to help with translation. Including a lovely bottle of Rose and coffees the bill came to €56 so was a very reasonably priced way to have a delicious lunch in a very stylish and unusual location. After lunch we strolled through the convent and visited the chapel and the lovely stream behind it. Very much one to be recommended.

Reviewed By Q9821BRwendygWe only managed to book in here for one night but wish it had been at least 3! The ideal place to just chill out and take in the beautiful surroundings. The owners were great and looked after you well and the room had everything we needed. I could actually live here it's so beautiful. We did struggle a little with the language as we are English, thank goodness for Google translate! What a great experience *****.

Maxi el dueño muy amable en todo momento,y nos aconsejó de sitios para visitar.Hemos pasado un fin de semana muy divertido,sin duda volveremos.

La casa es muy acogedora y bonita, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones allí, ¡Y para quedarse! Marcial, encantador, ¡un anfitrión de 10!
