La Godillette

Ate here late one gorgeous summer evening. The moules mariniece et fries, washed down with an ice cold local muscadet was superb, and very cheap. Good service, food came quickly, but the view over the gorgeous golden beach really topped it off. And my daughter tackled the world's largest ice cream cone! Nothing special....but made very special by the location!

Went to L'Avano for dinner after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor.A very friendly place located close to town and harbour. The atmosphere is comfortable and we were greeted with a smiling face. There was a good choice of food on the menu, steak, burgers, pizza and moules. My wife and I had pizza's and my daughter had the pasta, all dishes looked and tasted great. Though we didn't have them, the Moules looked fantastic. We sat outside listening to the band playing in a nearby resturant. The service was very good. There is ample parking close to the restaurant2 x Pizza, 1 x pasta, bottle of wine, soft drink = 60 Euro's.

We went today to Oceania and enjoyed a very nice meal. We were three and ordered: cheeseburger, Vendée burger and a bavette. They were all very good and tasty. We were also very pleased with the desserts which were big and tasty: dame Blanche with its very nice chocolate sauce, cafe liégeois tasted very nice and After Eight was original and very good.Service was also nice and spot on.We are looking forward to our next meal there, with a nice view on the ocean.

This restaurant is by the bridge in St Gilles and you pay for it.... it is a huge site and so a good choice for a table for 10. We ordered 4 of the children’s menus, which arrived quickly and were quite big, however the frites varied in amounts which caused consternation. We were able to have the longest frite competition, and the 3 year old won with a monster 20cm one.... where do these potatoes come from? Sadly the steak hachee was burnt on one side and we failed to attract the attention of the waitress, but the 6 year old cut enough off in the end....The burgers and frites were huge, but a bit expensive at €14.90 each.... and the scallops were a little underdone, ie not well caramelised on the outside... so a bit tasteless...It is a huge restaurant and as such the service and quality seem to suffer.... the price for 4 children and 6 adults, having only one course, was €165.10... a bit expensive for what we had, compared to other local restaurants... We will not return...

Le Grand Bleu

This large establishment caters for all tastes and passers by just wanting a drink. We grabbed a light lunch (no such thing in France) on a couple of occasions simply because it was easy, quick and convenient. This review is for an evening meal when the climate of the establishment changes completely to a restaurant. We found the serving staff helpful and attentitive. The food was of a good standard. She had cod fillet while he had to have duck yet again! A rare treat in Australia and hence over indulged in France!
