Best facilities & best people

I have been taking tour groups to the Cunnamulla Tourist Park for many years and the facilities for camping as well as the cabins are first class. There is always plenty of grass for our tents and the camp kitchen and the amenities block as well as the cabins are always clean and well presented. Dave and Tracy are always friendly and helpful and very accommodating if bookings have to be changed at short notice. Our stays are always enjoyable.

Consistent with past experiences, park is clean and tidy, well maintained. Ensuite site away from the road was quiet, clean with plenty of hot water for a much needed shower after a long day driving. A 5 minute drive to Roma town centre for food and fuel. Donna at the front desk most accomodating, thank you for a hassle free stay.

Perfect.

Only the one night in the bush camp area, but it so well manicured and appointed. Even the non powered sites are separated by bushes/shrubs for privacy. We backed into the Warrego River, and the mist coming off it in the morning was simply deluxe.

Very welcoming

This park has a relaxed and welcoming feel to it. The van sites are large and separated by native shrubs giving the feeling of privacy. Immaculate grounds and facilities. Huge area out the back with lovely bush tracks for walking with the dog. The huge campfire and damper every night was a great way to meet other campers. It’s byo but they also have a small bar in the camp kitchen.

Immaculate Facilities, Beautiful Property, Lovely Staff

Cannot overstate how lovely Wallaroo is! Beautiful facilities and incredible staff. Tents are very spacious with lovely decor and big beds. Toilet/shower facilities are great, kitchen very well-equipped and everything very clean. The staff are absolutely lovely people and very helpful with everything from maintaining fires to tips on walking the gorge or the property. Communal areas are all fitted out very well and super cosy with heaps of space and very warm. Carnarvon Gorge is so beautiful it beggars belief, and only a 1-hour drive away on the highway which didn't pose any issues for us given we were spending 8+ hours walking each day. There are plenty of lovely walks around the property itself (which is stunning), and it's amazing to just hang out at the retreat. Have absolutely nothing negative to say about Wallaroo and its staff, we spent 3 nights there and had an incredible time. Will certainly be returning next time we are in the area - wouldn't want to go anywhere else! Would very, VERY highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area, especially for access to Carnarvon Gorge. The place is simply immaculate!

Stepping inside the Home of Memorabilia show cases old magazines, quart pots, fossils, photographs and glamorous Ball Gowns of the time. Furthermore, learn about the family sheep-shearing operation on a wander through the 130 year old woolshed.

Fabulous outback experience

Talk about a treat for all senses. To be able to enjoy a tub and a soak in the chill of inland winter was an absolute experience. Our camp hosts Robyne & Laurie were so welcoming and always available for any assistance, tending to the camp wonderfully. Fellow campers were so lovely, many friends made in only a two night stay. Looking forward to returning in the future.
