First time to this place since change of owners. Started well enough. The chips were really good served with tasty refried beans. Salsa was ok, not the greatest. My companion ordered tortilla soup which she enjoyed. I had chili rellano/enchilada lunch combo special. I thought it was so so, nothing special. Server disappeared and never brought our check so we had to pay at the reception counter.

My visits or passing through of Grants Pass generally involve a stop at Casa Amiga. Unforunately, I've become stuck on their carnitas plate which comes in different sizes, amount of meat. When visiting other Mexican restaurants, I try their carnitas plate for comparison. No other restaurant has come close! There are other selections on their menu, but this is what I keep coming back to as it's so traditional Mexican. They do BBQ on weekends which I haven't tried but will at some point..........hopefully.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants we've eaten in. The decor is colorful with many excellent pictures painted directly on the walls and booths. Delightful! I had the Chile Relleno served with delicious whole beans, guacamole, Mexican rice, and corn tortillas. My wife had the Seafood Chile Poblano, which she liked. Service is excellent.

This isn't a taqueria, it's an oasis of Central and South American cuisine, with generous servings at very reasonable prices, in a modest location. We had the freshly-made-at-your-table guacamole (!), and shared the Asado Argentino for two (we ended up taking lots home). Try the spicy Margaritas, the unique, tasty flan. Definitely a gem of a place that we'll come back to.
