From the piping hot homemade pita to the falafel to the kebabs, every bite was more delicious than the next and expertly prepared. Our waitress recommended their house rose, which was a wonderful compliment to the meal. The meatballs were out of this world good! Very authentic Israeli style dishes. Service was terrific.

After about an hour wait on a Sunday night we were seated at an outdoor table. We waited a little longer for the table bc we felt it was too hot and crowded inside. We enjoyed a walk around town while waiting.Started with drinks and maitake hummus. We loved our drinks, Baharat Bandit and Kissed by a Rose. Herbal, floral, perfect amount of sweetness. Kissed by a Rose came in a very tiny glass so was technically 1/3 of a drink but it was delicious so hey. Everything is served family style as it comes out of the kitchen, we shared farm corn, (wooooonderful) Wagyu Bavette steak and the Lazareth Lamb Kebabs. We loved every crumb and stuffed ourselves. Couldn't decide which meat dish was better, they're both so good. Host was wonderful and accommodating, did his best to get everyone seated, our waiter was good but very serious and did not smile. He was very efficient though and helped us with our questions about the menu.Servings are not large, I would say small plates, but with the four dishes we left so full. We always appreciate quality over quantity, they don't skimp, everything was perfect. Cost came to $77 before tip, it's a special night out, but so worth it.

In town for conference. Came to Nicholas' at the recommendation of my sister, who is local, and great trip advisor reviews. Restaurant was PACKED on a Wednesday night which I took as a good sign. We were able to get a table quickly. Drink menu is limited to beer and wine. We were a group of four- including two work colleagues I convinced to join us. Appetizer was a dry (but soft and warm) pita with hummus. Olives were not on the menu as an appetizer which we thought was odd but were able to order two bowls. My husband had the salmon kebab which came with rice and a salad which he said was ok, if a bit bland. My veggie mezze consisted of tabbouleh which was 99% parsley (where were the tomatoes and other flavors?)-yuck. Our co worker thought the same and we both left it on the plate. The hummus and yogurt dip were just "ok". The spinach pocket that came with it was actually good. The little pizza that accompanied it was not. It was hard and dry (could barely bite through it) with a thick dusting of what seemed like dry dust. I think these were supposed to be spices but were pretty flavorless. I pity our colleague who got this as a big pizza entree. Service was slow but friendly. No one said a word about the meal and we could not get out of there fast enough. Really not very good at all--embarrassed to have brought anyone else to this restaurant.
