Duntryleague Guesthouse

The historic Duntryleague guesthouse is situated in the botanical gardens setting of the Duntryleague's prestigious 18 hole championship golf course. Built in 1876 for local businessman James Dalton, the building now offers 14 accommodation rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Accommodation in this 19th century mansion is in four categories, from original master suites (Mansion rooms) to smaller guest suites (Standard rooms). All rooms are non-smoking rooms, and many are multi-bedded and suit the needs of families and groups. We also have rollaway beds and cots available on request. All room rates include continental breakfast, although a cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge. All guest rooms have been upgraded with new bedding and modernised furniture, some including work desks. As well as ensuites, guestrooms also have a television, small refridgerator, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Painting and refurbishing of the guest rooms has started taking place. Duntryleague has also just finished renovating Margaret Dalton Lodge, a fully self-contained three bedroom flat, which is perfect for couples, groups and families. It offers a lounge and dining area, bathroom, self-contained kitchen and small outdoor area with BBQ. Breakfast is not included with the Lodge, (as it does have a kitchen within it), though both continental and hot breakfasts can be purchased from Duntryleague guesthouse just 30 seconds walk away. The Lodge does cater for disabled access as it is situated on ground level, adjacent to the main guesthouse. Unfortunately, due to being heritage listed and the historic nature of Duntryleague, there is NO disabled access to the main guesthouse. All guestrooms involve climbing stairs, as we are not permitted to install an elevator. Please also be mindful that as we are an older building, there may be the occasional creaky step or floorboard, but this is all apart of Duntryleague's charm! Guests are welcome to utilise the Club's facilities, including; Golf Course Tennis Courts Bar Brasserie (Open every day for lunch, Tuesday-Saturday for Dinner, Saturdays & Sundays for Breakfast & Brunch). The Guesthouse offers a variety of spaces for guest use, including the breakfast room and guest lounge with an open fireplace. Private functions and special arrangements for groups, such as BBQ's on the terrace, can be arranged. We are only a 2 minutes drive from the Orange CBD, and a 10 minute walk! We look forward to meeting you on your upcoming getaway to Duntryleague, Orange, NSW.

A good sized beer garden.

Reviewed By nick164

Located In the town centre, The Park View has a good sized beer garden and seems to be a popular choice amongst the locals for Friday evening drinks. Indoors was very noisy and a bit crowded, but as the weather was pleasant we opted for the beer garden. An enjoyable spot for a few drinks.

Restaurant is fantastic!

Reviewed By AndrewAlternate

The bistro at Hotel Canobolas is simply wonderful! We ordered the rib eye on bone and pizza and it was great. The pizza came out quickly, but the steak took some time, probably due to the size and time required to cook it...

Good pub dinner on a Monday night

Reviewed By Paspaley

Had always walked past this hotel but never been in so decided to try it out for dinner. We had crumbed steak with chips and salad and roast lamb special and we shared apple pie for dessert. Good pub food at good prices and generous serves. The burgers at other tables looked amazing! The dining room has been very thoughtfully renovated and tastefully decorated to suit the era of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the owner came over to chat which was nice. Will definitely return soon!

Range of Food Options, Need More Local Wines by the Glass

Reviewed By 29plymouth

We enjoyed a quiet Sunday dinner here with a group of friends. Large range of food options, however, I was slightly surprised that only one local red could be ordered by the glass. I enjoyed the steak sandwich and my husband liked his fish tacos.
