Italia Bar Amelie is the favorite restaurant of a Japanese friend of mine and his wife, and I've visited several times. The owner spent several years cooking in Italy, and certainly knows his stuff. The menu is written on a blackboard, and varies according to what's in season or to hand. The food and the cooking are of a consistently high standard, and interesting from a cross-cultural perspective - Italian food as seen through the eyes (or the nose and mouth) of an Okinawan chef. At the moment I suppose I would rather stick with local fare, but after a while it seems a lot of people like Italian food around here, judging by the number of Italian restaurants, and this is a very good one. The number of seats is very limited, so I think reservations are probably essential.

C’Coeur is a very cozy, warm restaurant in Uruma. I showed up with no reservation, but I was solo, so it was not a problem for them; reservations are recommended, though. I ordered a glass of red wine and had their assorted appetizer. Both were delicious. My entree was a spaghetti noodle dish with white sauce with bacon and porcini mushrooms mixed in. The staff (2 of them) were very attentive and friendly. Use a translate app if you have/need one.

A party of three, we arranged a meeting at this restaurant, for lunch. There is a nice ocean view of the East China Sea, below and it is visible through from the windows inside or, the patio seating outdoors. A French waiter, chatted with us and, spoke English, as well as Japanese, fluently. All the staff, are super polite and, make sure the guests, enjoy their visit. They even, adjust the blinds in the windows, to insure, customers, don't get too much sunshine but, still enjoy the view. We had a selection of various types of pasta. I ordered the Rigatoni Island Pork and, it was delicious. Along with the main dish, you are entitled to, all you can eat at the salad and desserts bar. The meals were well seasoned and, salads were fresh and crisp. No smoking is permitted, within the restaurant or, on the outside balcony. There is an air conditioned smoking room, located near the restrooms and, the staff will escort smokers to the location, when asked. If you are looking for 5 star service and an outstanding meal, at reasonable prices, don't pass this one up !
