Condado

We stopped at Condado for lunch -- it was our first time visiting. Our waitress was upbeat and fun, and explain clearly how to order and what her recommendations were. We ordered the trio of starters (guacamole, salsa and queso). Corn salsa wasn't our favorite, but it was very fresh. Guacamole and queso were excellent. For tacos, we ordered a build-yourself with ground beef and cheese; and then the "ooey-gooey," "el tradicional," and "lucy's fire." The last two were our preferred. Overall, we can see why this place is busy -- great location and very friendly service. And then, of course, the tacos are tasty.

After a long day on the road, I wanted a quick dinner. Got off the freeway and happened on the place. There was a fair line for dinner. After I got my food and sat down did I see how dirty the floor was. Bathroom no better. The hot water would scald you. Beware!

I almost never review fast food restaurants because I rarely eat in them and when I do there's nothing outstanding to say. This location though, in Columbus on E. Livingston Ave right off of I-70 really got my attention. The woman behind the counter who took my order helped me select some food that really hit the spot. She gave me a free drink for no reason and then just about when the food was ready, someone else from behind the counter offered me a free dessert because I guess they thought I had been waiting too long. It really didn't seem like too long for me for food that they were freshly making. I declined the desert but I just thought it was really nice of them to be concerned about my time. I'll definitely return here when I'm in the neighborhood and need a quick meal.
