Finally found ourselves in the area for a midweek day breakfast. We ordered straight forward breakfasts of a couple eggs, sausage or bacon, fried potatoes, and coffee. My up eggs were slightly under fried and the three strips of bacon were pretty modest but the sausage patties were interestingly flavored and the marbled rye toast was a pleasant surprise. Appreciated that we could get a half order of French toast (a sizeable single slice) that was outstanding and would return just for this sweet tooth indulgence.A modest sized classically appointed immaculate diner in a small strip mall that is conveniently located just off East Broad with parking. Opens early and closes mid afternoon. The service was welcoming, attentive and friendly. Can't wait for the weather to cool to return for lunch - the deli sandwiches and tomato soup look too tempting to miss.

I'm probably excited because I've never been to a creperie! I had Monte Carlo - turkey, goat cheese and marmalade, outstanding flavors! And a deliciously foamy latte. My husband had the veggie crepe, beautiful spinach (but iced tea not good:( The ladies taking care of the orders were young, but pleasant enough and cooked the food quickly. Nice little cafe table/chairs, bench along the wall. Crepes were about $9.75. Right next to theater and close to Conservatory. Parking right in front or marketplace lot next door.

Zen Cha Cafe & Tea Salon is one of my favorites. They specialize in teas from all over the world (both to serve & to buy bulk). Their chef is outstanding & everything is prepared fresh. Besides world teas (including Japanese bubble teas) both hot & cold, they have an eclectic menu of soups, sandwiches, salads & dinners. They offer both vegetarian broths & dumplings as well as meat. Their dinners range from salmon to curried root vegetables to a Japanese pancake ( Okonomiyaki) & more. Appetizers (I love their Indian samosas) & desserts are also varied & excellent. On Sundays they serve a brunch with waffles, omelets, etc. and of course teas! Parking is the only minus - there is limited on street parking in front & a shared parking lot in back of the building.

We fell in love with this little local restaurant & it was the perfect place for breakfast! It's small & it's busy, so you may have to wait a bit, but the tables turn quickly! Luckily, we walked in at the perfect time & only had to wait 3 minutes! We took first available & ended up at the counter! I always like watching the food being prepared...the grill was right in front of us! Staff was very friendly and coffee cup filling attentive (important!)! We both had eggs over easy, hash browns with onions & cheese, rye toast. I had sausage & my husband had the bacon. I found the sausage on the salty side, but I also think I am salt sensitive! LOL My husband said the bacon was really good! The hash browns were excellent & you got a mountain of them! Too much for me to finish, but I gave it a good try! coffee was excellent! Prices were very reasonable! We will be back!
