Pacer's Italian Cuisine and Steakery

After near 30 years in Lancaster OH, it took a Groupon to take me to Pleasantville and Pacers. I was not disappointed. After an experience earlier this week with carry out at the local Awful Garden with inadequate sauce for the amount of overcooked pasta, Pacers was frigging awesome. I'd rather have too much sauce with correctly cooked pasta than overcooked nasty pasta with too little Awful Garden sauce. Pacers ROCKED. From service to food quality and quantity, and prices, my spousal unit and I shall return minus Groupon. I am looking forward to not being restricted by Groupon to the classic italian menu. Thanks, Pacers. You are awesome.

Clay Haus is located in a very historical building in the center of town. The owner is also the chef and he strives to provide fresh and delicious offerings with a German flair. Sauerbraten, German chicken and various other dishes are to die for. Plus, the Sunday buffet if absolutely outstanding. Service is always personal and the beer and wine offerings are also quite appealing. There is a bier stube in the cellar (which is reputedly haunted) and is a fun place for locals and travelers to meet and greet. Overall, Clay Haus is a wonderful asset to Northern Perry County Ohio.

We tried this restaurant because a friend heard about it and wanted to give it a try. It was about 45 minutes away, but it was something different. The prices were very reasonable. My chicken was over cooked and I had to pick the chicken out from the almost burned outer skin. The homemade mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. My wife had the liver and onions. The liver was dry and pretty tasteless. The service was great. We will NOT be making the drive to visit this restaurant again.

Could one of my favorite places to go. Whatever you are doing in life stop and go here now! The food is wonderful but it almost surpassed by the atmosphere and old time dinner feel. It's the kinda place that shows up in travel shows! Their Hotdogs and French fries as legendary. This is middle America and its common to see local farmers stopping for lunch. The small town that's it's in has some great shops but this place is the town's heartbeat. I can this place being where CNN went after Trump won. We really enjoy this place. Just go and take in the experience. They have a full menu with something for everyone.

Had wings and pizza here tonight. Wings were very tasty. Pizza is a thin crust and could have been cooked a bit longer, but was good. Enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service. Would definitely return. Has a nice, diverse menu.

Actually the food is pretty good and the waitresses are very nice. The problem is the kitchen staff. Just too slow for an hour lunch. Buffet is gone which used to get you in and out fast. If you are off work and having a beer and a bite and no big hurry, still a stop for you. If not, move on down the road 3 miles to Mill Dam.

Chef Shack is a small restaurant attached to Buckeye Lake Brewery. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and return to pick up your food when it's ready. Everything we've tried on the menu has been outstanding. Our favorite is the burger, we think they are the best in this area. Two patties with just the right toppings and a super yummy sauce, just delicious! The homemade potato chips and french onion dip is also a must try. Pricing is reasonable too. And you can't go wrong with the great selection of beers at the brewery. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A nice vibe. Highly recommend.

A bunch of hungry swimmers and their families went to Clays for lunch. To start, our waitress was incredibly good; very attentive and seemed to effortlessly anticipate our needs. Now for the food, we ordered sandwiches, quesadillas, pizza, wings, salads and all were excellent. The fries were perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their meals. There were at least five items that I wanted to try on the menu but I tried the quesadilla. It was perfectly grilled. Save room for ice cream. They serve Hershey’s ice cream and one scoop is really two scoops. The turtle sundae was amazing. In sum we had a great experience. For 4 people, the bill was $58, which may sound high but for the quality of food/dessert and service, I was happy to pay it.

Situated right on Buckeye Lake, you will absolutely feel like you are on vacation here. Enjoy the great bands, watching the boats go by, and the food and drinks are excellent. Try the Pina Colada on a hot day - refreshing! They have some gluten free options, too. The GF pizza is one of the best around. Enjoy!

Wife and I have been here twice. Most recent visit was disapointing in the area of service. Arrived for a late dinner, seating was confusing as the receptionist failed to give specific directions or notify wait staff of new party. She told us to just go in? Once seated, we waited 15 minutes before I had to go get someone to wait on us? More light needed at tables and was disapointed to know that the entertainment stopped at 9:00 p.m?I ordered steak and Mac n Cheese, but Mac n Cheese came out after? One server told us it was because they burned the first batch, the other informed us it was because they wanted it to be fresh? Wife, enjoyed her meal and it seems like the quality of the food has remained high since our visit last year. We did get a free dessert for our troubles but our bill was still extremely high. We feel like the quality of the service has gone down since our last visit but most likely will visit again.
