Beautiful log cabins nestled in the woods in the heart of Holmes County. Our log cabins are ideal for special occasions, such as honeymoons, anniversaries, and weekend get-a-ways. Our log cabins are set back 1/4 mile off of State Route 39 in Holmes County between Millersburg and Berlin, Ohio. We are 2.7 miles from Millersburg and 3.8 miles from Berlin.

Reviewed By 87tammyzWe stayed at the newly added Steiner Guesthouse. Nice 3 bedroom ranch. Very nice and clean. Very relaxing. We have been coming to the cabins for over 15years as the service by Tranquil Acres cabins is the best. Now we have another option when we book again!

relaxing family vacation
Reviewed By Lewis828The property has several small cottages. We stayed in the Hideaway. With a full kitchen we were able to cook our food there easily. The private beach was wonderful and perfect for building sand mountains and swimming. Highly recommend for families.

Reviewed By Chris ACabin #7 - Uncle Tom's Cabins We had our family of 10 - 6 Adults 4 children (ages 1 - 8) staying three nights Pros: - Very Clean - Very Private even though there was other cabins on property. Spacing was more than adequate. - Spacious - Even with ten people and four children there was plenty of space for all of us. - Great Living Room and Family Room (basement) - Great TV's, great furniture, very spacious, and well decorated - Bedrooms were spacious and beds were so/so as for comfort - quality sheets, pillows, etc.. - 3 Full Bathrooms and one half bathroom - clean and well stocked - Close to heated pool, two playgrounds, basketball/volleyball court, ponds - all well within easy walking distance - some amenities real close but not too close - Cabin #7 has a HUGE two car garage with additional expansive parking - We locked ourselves out and management was very responsive to help us quickly even though it was 8:00 PM - We will definitely be booking this Cabin again!! CONS: - Wifi was not very good and cell coverage was spotty - Toilet paper is awful - 1 ply - "Stocked Pond" appeared to not be very "stocked" group of us fished for 30 minutes and only one bite. One couple did catch one tiny bass while we were fishing though - Loud noise in basement when water is run/toilets flushed?? Not sure what this is but can be mildly annoying - also sink in basement was making some gurgling noise

A wonderfully amazing weekend.
Reviewed By chandler810Me and my wife of ten years needed a weekend away from the teenagers. We got there on Friday and enjoyed the next 46 hours of quiet and relaxation. The cabins are secluded down a couple of back roads and is at least fifteen minutes by car to the nearest town. The cabins have fully stocked kitchens to make any meal that you bring with you. The living room is nice to be close to someone you love and the really cool spiral stairs lead to a nice loft bedroom. A great hot tub on the back porch and a fire pit for a romantic fire in the evening.

Two cozy, clean knotty pine cabins bordering Strouds Run State Park are the perfect setting for rest, romance or recreation. Both have hot tubs, fire pits, satellite tv and a/c, with a full-sized kitchen and bath, plus all linens provided. Walk or ride-in access to trails for hiking, biking, hunting, or riding your horses. Secluded, yet just minutes from unique shops, restaurants, and galleries in the charming town of Athens, Ohio.

The cabin was spotless, stocked with fresh towels, linens and basic kitchen implements. The gas grill was pretty clean for a rental property and full of propane. For entertainment there is Direct TV and about 30 DVDs ranging from kids movies to chick flick to manly action. On the back deck there is a hot tub and down the hill behind the deck is a fire pit and picnic table. Fire wood is stacked in a near by wood pile. The front of the cabin has a full width porch with seating. Decor is tasteful cabin in the woods with antlers, paintings of wildlife, coasters from sliced tree limb, and framed local maps. One room has a queen size bed with small dresser, two night stands and a closet. The other bedroom has a bunk bed that is a twin on top and full size mattress on the bottom (sleeps 3). It has a night stand and closet. The couch my roll out, but I suggest you ask Shelly for details. Utilities include a 40 gallon hot water tank, base board heat and a wall unit AC. Water seems to be city water and had no taste (that's a good thing). Kitchen includes double basin sink, toaster, coffee machine, refrigerator (plenty big for a week of groceries), 4 burner electric range, microwave, blender, electric hand mixer, pots, pans, 6 to 8 table settings, measuring cups, full sets of glass and plastic drinkware, strainers, cutting boards, knives and assortment of spices. There were condememts and coffee and microwave popcorn and hot cocoa and tea bags and instant oatmeal packets available. The cabins are about 15 minutes east of Athens, on the north east side of Strouds Run State Park. In fact there are connecting trails for horse's and people in front of the cabin. Did I mention Shelly is a great host? She and her husband live a few hundred yards up the lane. Hope to come back again.

Master BR with half-bath, big fully-equipped kitchen, dining, living rooms, then three BR and full roomy bath with tub & shower on the other end. On a quiet residential street in the woods, with beautiful pond in front yard, just 2 miles from Ohio Turnpike. A five minute drive south and east and you're in Peninsula, or enjoy a drive, bike ride or hike in the many options of nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Wi fi is great, only watched news on tv so can't comment on options, but the big gas BBQ grill (complete with full propane tank) outside the door was a big plus. A great option for a relaxing stay in a place that's indeed "just like home".

Not So Great Frontier Cabin
Reviewed By skidog2018We rented their Great Frontier Cabin. First I’ll say it’s a great location for visiting the Hocking Hills trails. The cabin itself is small and rustic looking, but perfect for two. The bed was a king and comfortable. The sauna was not working and the hot tub never really got hot even though the temperature read it was. The heat source is a gas wall unit and a gas fireplace. When either was used, the place strongly smelled like gas. The gas fireplace did not appear to be vented to the outside, is that even allowed? The worst thing was the stink bugs coming in from around the windows. We spent our evenings removing them from the cabin one by one as they appeared and not being able to relax. Was a nuisance and creepy. We decided to leave our last evening instead of in the morning so as not to deal with them. Owners response was thanks for the heads up. If they visited the cabin, or even the cleaning staff, they would have known due to the dead bugs on the window sills which we found upon arrival.

A COZY RETREAT TO REST AND RELAX
Reviewed By Love_Florida_SunLet me start by noting that this lovely place tucked away is NOT on the "beaten path", but definitely worth checking out. We arrived on Saturday, June 8, 2013 to check in. To our surprise and delight, the owner gave us a tour of the 3 room Bunkhouse. Unlike most Bed & Breakfast places, this one was more private and offered all the comforts of home. We enjoyed watching TV and sipping on coffee while snug under covers. The small fridge was nicely stocked with water and milk for the morning's cereal. There was just enough leftover room to hold a bottle of wine purchased at a nearby Giant Eagle. The pictures that accompany this review give you a clue as to what to expect upon arrival. Paula displays hospitality that can't be beat! She made us feel welcome and right at home. She even provides his & her bath robes! Smoking is outdoors only, but with nice weather, it's no problem to sit at the picnic table in the back yard and enjoy both a smoke and a beautiful view. All in all, it superseded our expectations and our room and the bathroom were both perfect for a comfortable night. Thank-You Paula for both your generous hospitality and very comfortable stay.
