We stayed in Arcachon for 10 days and found this restaurant on day 4 and returned again on our last night. Best restaurant of the holiday. The menu was not extensive but had an interesting variety of choices and experiences. Front of house staff were friendly and very helpful, explaining the menu when asked. One of the chefs ( who was actually the owner) visited all the tables on both nights and remembered us and was keen to discuss our food choices, especially as our son is a chef. We can not recommend the whole experience highly enough but be warned you will have to book in advance.

Highly impressed by the professionalism of the service and a particular mention for the Maitre D and sommelier. The food was inventive and delicious. One dish failed to hit the mark and we advised accordingly, and received a recompense. The main room is delightful and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun-filled.

We had dinner here and ordered one menu (35) and 2 plates from the menuThe oysters and the foie were fantastic. Salad and the fish plate included in the menu generous but regular quality. Concernant le Champagne, j'ai ouvert la bouteille devant vous, et vous ai servi directement : vous avez regardé l'étiquette, 'Paul Dangin", car vous le trouviez bon. Ce soir, là , Samedi 6 Juillet, il faisait très très chaud : je me demande si nous étions pas en pleine canicule. Servir une coupe de Champagne de 15cl en terrasse avec cette chaleur, a eu une incidence sur l'augmentation de température . Je suis désolé que vous ne m'ayez pas interpellé : j'aurai pu remettre les coupes au frais le temps que votre épouse aille fumer une cigarette.Lors de ma visite de courtoisie, lorsque je vous ai demandé si "tout se passait bien", vous m'avez dit : "oui, merci"N'hésitez pas, chez moi, ou ailleurs, chez un de mes confrères, lorsque vous avez un sentiment ou une impression de non satisfaction pleine et entière, de le signaler sur le moment : nous sommes là pour vous faire passer non pas un bon moment, mais un Excellent moment.En espérant vous revoir, et vous servir de nouveau du Champagne. On our way to Dune du Pilat, we stopped by Arcachon to walk around and have lunch. We parked at the Indigo Parking lot at the Gare Train Station for less than 2 hours for 3 euros. We stopped by L'Oyster for lunch at around 1:30 pm on a Wednesday. They were still crowded even though it was past prime lunch hour. They gave us a table and we ordered a platter of seafood for 20.50 euros.6 oysters4 shrimpsWhelksJar of TerrineThe oysters and shrimp were really good. We are used to eating oysters from the US. These oysters tasted a little on the salty side but a pleasant level of saltiness. I was really surprised by the shrimp. It had a hint of sweetness that was surprisingly good. I didn't really like the whelk as much but the terrine was really good with the bread.We also had 3 glasses of white wine for 3.20 euros each. All in all, our seafood lunch was super affordable.We really enjoyed our fresh seafood and the service was friendly even though we speak no french.Thank you for you message ! Really !

We had dinner at this restaurant. Delicious oysters and seafood, fresh. However, we got a very disgruntled waitress. Moreover, she was more condescending to the rest of the guests, but she obviously treated us (Russians) badly. What kind of discrimination based on nationality? The restaurant is supposed to make when ordering - a decanter with drinking water. She brought water to everyone except us. We asked to bring us water, however, for the whole time of our stay there - she never brought water. Terrible service that ruined the whole experience.Madame, Votre commentaire est inadmissible, injuste et pour tout dire minable. Ãtes vous persuadé que lâon a oublié de vous donnez de lâeau parce que vous êtes russes ? Notre clientèle est internationale et nous en sommes ravis. Mais un commentaire aussi stupide que le vôtre pourrait nous faire changer dâavis...Cordialement..

We wanted to have fresh oysters for dinner in Arcachon, and were looking around trying to decide where to eat. The guy at the restaurant told me that they are producer of oysters (if I understood correctly with my poor French), so we decided to eat here. Coming from Japan (that also produce oysters to be eaten fresh), we wanted to eat good ones. He did not disappoint us!! Very fresh and very good oysters! We also had boiled shrimps, a salami & cheese platter and some white wine from Bordeaux. The price was very reasonable.They do not speak English, but try their best to explain & show what it is. For example, when I asked what the difference between no. 2 oysters and no. 3 oysters on the menu (i could figure that it is the size), the waiter brought actual oysters in different sizes to show us.

If you fancy some food or drinks whilst enjoying the sun or beach in Arcachon then I can thoroughly recommend La Cabane du Breton. They have great service a good choice of crepes and galettes and drinks. The prices are good and they have excellent offers. We ate here one evening whilst staying near Arcachon. The tables were on both sides of the street and although we were relatively early most tables were full or reserved. The very friendly staff found one spare table for us. As some of the nearby shops shut the staff added a few more tables but these soon filled up.The service was excellent as were the meals we had. Two of us had one of the fixed menus that had a galette to start and a crepe to follow. The meal also include a cup of cider all for a very reasonable cost. The remaining two members of the group had a la carte items from and these were also great.We would definitely eat here again.

I was there with my boyfriend and parents last week for dinner while we were in Arcachon.The restaurant is very nice with a little terrasse in the center of Arcachon.We had great meat from Spain with Aligo and gratin dauphinois. The servers, all of them... were more than friendly and knowledgeable, and last, prices were very decent!I definitely recommend this restaurant that just opened. I wish them good luck and I promise I will come back when I visit again.Merci Beaucoup!
