We visited the restaurant in the summer. We had smoked whale meat as starters and then local fish dishes for the main course. All dishes were nice and tasty and the fish was cooked well. Staff was nice. All in all a good experience.

Johnny Trine was voted the top chef in Norway in 2009. There is a reason why. The food at his restaurant is spectacular. We stayed at the lodge for three nights. All three nights included meals at his restaurant. Each night was a culinary adventure of Nordic food. My wife and I ate bear, deer, elk, king crab, cod, arctic char and a number of other succulent meals. Each meal was delicately prepared, consisting of amazing flavors. Best of all, Johnny and his staff make you feel like family. The restaurant is cozy, seating about thirty people, so make sure to make reservations.

The restaurant Laksestua (salmon hut) has always been well known for its special architecture, assembling the shape of a Sami lavvo and its pleasant atmosphere. Sorrisniva is in the middle of nature’s larder: the river, the fjord and the plateau offer exc

This is my review of just the restaurant At Sorrisniva, not the accommodation. We stayed at Sorrisniva for 24 hours, so we ate here three times - Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast.Lunch was nice. Dinner was a spectacular multi-course tasting experience. It was very nice, but it was at the end of a long day of Snow activities so was a bit slow for us. We just wanted to eat and go to bed. Don’t get me wrong, it was excellent for what it was, it just wasn’t what we wanted at that time. Breakfast was a delicious buffet.
