Very glad we left the nearby pub to try this vastly superior alternative. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was casual and warm, the noise level meant you could have a conversation at your table, and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the zucchini flowers and the salmon. The Balmain bug pasta was excellent and the pork belly was very generous and the best we have tasted. The winner overall was the extraordinary bougasta (custard parcels) for dessert. So delicious. Very impressed and we will return. Yummy.

Really authentic Italian run by the family, with great service and harbour bridge views. The lamb cutlets were perfect, the john dory soup was tasty, and the veal scallopini was creamy and tender. My tira misu was very good, and all in all, a very good dinner. Going back next time I am in Sydney!

VIA NAPOLI has long been heralded as a GEM of a destination for those seeking authenticity, excess, festivity and ultimately, fulfilment in Italian dining. This is not just a ‘Pizzeria’ , but a complete Dining Extravaganza.Who else but this writer would brave the elements of a cold winters night and dine in Al Fresco surroundings – if not for the above. I can tell you….I was definitely NOT the only one, and we all LOVED it.For the purists, LANE COVE is the genuine site of this burgeoning Brand Name. Only here will you find the hustle, bustle and sheer enthusiasm vibrating from the very walls of this fine establishment. From the warm hugs ‘HELLO’ to the Photo Bombing Wait-Staff, to the Cocktail making Bar Staff who view their creations like New Born Children – the pace is frenetic ( without ONE sound of something breaking)My first experience with VIA NAPOLI was a Lunchtime jaunt – which left me in a perennial FOOD COMA for the rest of the supposed ‘Working Day’. I have relived that joyous experience many times now and tonight was no exception.VIA NAPOLI is a restaurant for all Seasons and Occasions. A place that exudes exhuberance and pride through its staff and cuisine. All stand proud of its Italian heritage. And all – like a team of TV Evangelists, seek to convert all who walk thru their doors; and they largely always succeed! There is only ONE WAY TO GO when you Dine. Sit and say to your waiter – DeGustation pls…then leave it to them. You will be treated to a feast with such fanfare that you are compelled to share the experience immediately via your favoured Social Media Forum – if only to make sure you believe it yourself! And the food is SCRUMPCIOUS! (my personal favourite is the Calamari and Mussels)For those celebrating SPECIAL OCCASIONS…..be warned, the staff will leave an indelible mark on the event!!!Ensure you finish with the BOMBA for dessert and a customary LemonCello. There aren’t many like VIA NAPOLI – theres no pretentiousness, no frilly forced politeness. Just damn good old fashioned GREAT SERVICEIll be back…but you’ve probably guessed that already.p.s: If you dare to allow your waiter to choose your wine for your meal, just know that it will be an EXCELLENT choice accompaniment – just don’t look at the bill when youre done ( by then you probably wont give a damn after such a good time anyway)Hi Victor,Wow, that's amazing! Thank you for visiting Via Napoli Pizzeria and sharing such kind words! We always try our best in making you experience the most authentic Neapolitan atmosphere and food. It is so good to hear we could meet your expectation last time at our restaurant. We will keep the good work up! Hope to see you again!Via Napoli Team

Pulled in here at an outside table on an unseasonally mild autumn evening and found our meal perfect for what we fancied. We had bruschetta and chorizo for entree. The bruschetta were generous in size but were made with tomatoes that lacked flavour so the dish was underwhelming. The chorizo was served in a tomato sauce and was tasty. For our main we chose the slow cooked lamb shoulder which was absolutely delicious. Served with potatoes and tzatziki it fell off the bone and was plentiful in size for the four of us with the haloumi and grain salad. We were able to pick up a couple of good wines from the shop right next door so didn't experience Piato's wine list. The service was friendly and relaxed and the location on busy Blues Point Road gives diners at the outside tables plenty to observe. I would go again.

We went for lunch at this very expensive restaurant. Although the food was moderately tasty it was very overpriced. We ordered the scampi which was MP on the menu. They did not tell us the price and proceeded to charge us $40 per tiny half of scampi. When we addressed the issue when the bill came the staff said they couldn’t help us. Although the manager was apologetic, he said the owner was working in kitchen and refused to discuss the prices. Super disappointed in this restaurant and definitely will not be back.we tried many dishes at this restaurant and none of them worth the price.Hello There,Thank you for posting a very unfair review. The above doesn’t not match with your comments made in the restaurant today. Let me get one thing straight with you. No one likes people who lie!You ordered a pasta dish with JUMBO SCAMPI at 900 grams with salmon pearls at $160. You enjoyed every bit of your meal up until you received the bill. We did give you a discount of $10 off the price. Even though we did not have too! We sold many many scampi and pastas at this price and we only had compliments, just like you had given today! Obviously you do not eat at this type of High end restaurants in Sydney and when the menus states MP it means the market moves up and down. Otto in the city have lobster pasta at MP and that is charged at $250 when you ask the waiter. We do not tell the price as people find it offensive. If you were concerned about the price, before ordering ASK the waiter the price. We treat all our patrons with respect. Today we respected you by giving you a discount but you cannot expect to have JUMBO SCAMPI for FREE!Therefore you are not welcome to return to my humble restaurant because how you treated my staff who work very very hard to please our very much respected customers. We wish you all the very best to find scampi cooked to perfection overlooking the Sydney harbour with well mannered managers and passionate people. .

Very much looking forward to this after doing some research. Did the degustation menu which is good value at $155 for Sydney. The first three tasters were porcini crackers, nut tart and egg, porcini and tart were excellent. Next a crab and macadamia dish, very smart. The Aguachile was one of my favorites, tuna and beetroot, amazing presentation, textures and flavors. The meat agnolotti was my least favorite dish, quite oily/greasy. Hapuka was good and the lamb similar but loved the baby turnips as the side. The two desserts were stunning, would rate the White chocolate and sudachi a little ahead of the buffalo. There is value to be found on the wine list. We had a entry level chablis. The chef was on holiday but the kitchen was coping well. Friendly service from staff. The 4/5 rating is because I was a little underwhelmed as a few courses did not live up to my expectation. But certainly very good value for Sydney.

I went here with a group for a work dinner. It was a Friday evening so expectedly busy. The service was disjointed in the beginning being slow to offer drinks, explain the menu, bring drinks, and bread etc. After a slow start, the service mostly flowed, although my friend is still waiting for her cup of tea.The meals are nice, possibly a little too try hard to be trendy. portions are tiny, so a four-course meal for $115.00 is actually the equivalent of a tapas menu. Presented nicely, and tasty enough, with some unique ingredients. The view is great and for visitors to Sydney, it really showcases our beautiful city.
