We had the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and crab cakes.The crab cakes were a 10, brisket and the rest were a solid 8 out of 10. Beans and fries seasoned to perfection.Portions were good size but not enough to have leftovers.The chef's Texas BBQ sauce was tasty. Carolina sauce was more of a slop/mop sauce but I'm from NY so what do I know. Overall the food and atmosphere is good, service with a smile, and prices are not bad at all.I will return to try more of the menu!

I had stopped at a different location a few months ago but GPS brought me to the 1331 N Wesleyan Blvd location off I95N. I went to the "take out" at the back. The young woman that waited on me was very friendly but not overly so, just waiting on people and saying "thank you". The BBQ sandwich was fantastic, though not the best I've ever have but great enough that I will be going back. I tried some of the sauce that you have to ask for and although a little spicy for me it was delicious. I've told my husband he needs to go with me next time so we can go in & try the buffet. Thanks for a great sandwich.We appreciate the great review and can't wait for you to come back so you can sample all we have to offer like our turkey BBQ, 4 kinds of chicken, Collard greens, brunswick stew, gizzards, livers, chitterlings and so much more

Any barbecue place in the Old North State is worth a visit. This one is definitely a keeper!! The food is across-the-board well prepared and served in huge amounts. The beef brisket and pulled pork were the stars of my show. Add to the quality food the fact that the floor servers were cheerful, helpful, and informative giving us an outstanding visit. This place goes into our "visit when in town" list.

We'd visited the other location for their lunch buffet, but never stopped at this one, which is closer to our home. One day we were in the parking lot shopping elsewhere, and the chicken smelled so good we had to try it. And it was every bit as good as it smelled - we've been back for it since. We weren't fans of the potatoes or the hushpuppies, though, so we've skipped them on subsequent visits.We'll be back for the chicken!Thank you for the great review. Our hushpuppies are award winning but we don't use onions in them so they are almost dessert like. The perfect end to a meal. Very happy we enticed you in. Moe and D's is s quaint location with a nice exposed brick wall. Service was fast and the waitresses were very friendly. Cheesesteak was delicious but somewhat small and cheeseburger was really tasty. Fries have a seasoning that kicked them up a notch. Leamonade is just right too. I'd try the ribs next time. Glad to see them in the much needed area of downtown Rocky Mount.
