Meryle is an outstanding host. The food prepared by her husband Dominic exceeded our expectations for a restaurant in the mountains! The food is so fresh, homemade, different. We had homemade chicken soup with 4 different samdwiches which come on their homemade bread/rolls. Just delicious! We had 4 different desserts one better than the next. Not too sweet, just right. We even took home a chicken pot pie to bake. I wish they were in Greensboro! Well done! A must go visit!

We had a late lunch here, because our friend who lives in the area recommended it. We each got a beer, there were craft beers to choose from as well as bottled beer. They had four soups to choose from, two of us ordered the cream of curry corn which was delicious. Each of us chose a different sandwich and we all were happy with it. I would go back again.

Party of six outside on a beautiful evening. Restaurant service is a disaster. Waitress paid little attention to orders. The Hawaii sandwich ordered by one never arrived. The waiter said the kitchen missed the sandwich but it would be here shortly. Came back later and said it would be a while. Everyone had finished eating. Manager gave a half hearted apology. Everyone was stunned with the insincere approach. They did offer the sandwich in a to go bag at no charge. Was surprised at how unprofessional the approach of the restaurant was. Understand mistakes are made in service businesses but t Chetola was unacceptable.Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, Ken. I stopped in Pepper's for a late lunch. Slow afternoon, few folks dining. I had great service, attentive and friendly--from a young guy, since there's apparently some discussion about a feminist takeover of the service staff. Fried mushrooms were excellent, as was the classic club sandwich. Much better than the last several times I ate at Pepper's.Thank you for your 5-Bubble review! We're not sure where the feminist takeover discussion came from, during our 44 years of business we've had and currently have multiple female managers in charge here at Pepper's! We're glad you enjoyed our food and service, we hope to see you again soon!
