We visited Le Progres this time last year, and returned remembering their very good seafood.Once again, we had excellent and filling three course seafood meals for 22 Euros each. That included a whole cooked crab as a one-person starter, which was a meal in itself. The mussels I ordered arrived in a cold pot, and were only lukewarm. They were quickly replaced by a steaming hot portion when I pointed this out.For mains we had chicken with mushroom and cream sauce and chips, although the salad garnish had seen better days, while my husband had a good, hot pot of moules. Our desserts were apple tart, and sorbet with calvados - both good.I think, sadly, perhaps the restaurant has gone very slightly downhill since our visit last year, but I wouldn't say don't go - the seafood and fish is delicious, and excellent value. Perhaps just remember you're not paying much for this good value meal, and speak up if you're not happy - I'm sure they'd rather replace your meal than upset their clientele.

Idéalement situé en face du port, pour prendre un verre en terrasse c 'est sympa quand il fait beau... Côté restauration ça sent l'industriel à plein nez aucune saveur bref un menu de brasserie bas de gamme....Dommage...de ne pas avoir de restau digne de ce nom dans cette belle ville....

Our host recommanded this restaurant, so we thought we will give a chance and it was a really good choice. The restaurant is beautiful, the stuff was really kind and friendly.They have a great and big menu, and for the first time in Fecamp I find a vegetarian menu for myself. The food was warm and they giving big portions. The price and quality is great, I would recommande this restaurant to everyone! Ps. The view is beautiful.

Sitting at a pretty table in a warm dining room, we looked out over Fécamp's 'Port de Plaisance'. The menu listed some of our very favourite things and we went for them. I had a delicious salad of coquilles-Saint-Jacques and my companion chose the fish soup - not any fish soup but a proper wintery, rich soup with accompaniments. Then as a particular end of trip indulgence, we both had grilled sole, what we call in England, Dover sole. It was cooked perfectly, just the right texture. We rounded off the meal with profiteroles, again just as they should be, with a creamy cold interior and excellent warm chocolate sauce. This was a real treat after a long, cold drive,

Personnel showed little interest in customers, and took wrong order. We had a starter, main course with side dishes drinks and dessert for â¬80. Small portions of fish, abominable salad, poor greasy fries, half molten cup with ice cream which was supposed to be dame Blanche. Certainly nothing like the pictures on their website. We did not get ill after dinning here. Avoid if possible.

This is a small, eccentrically run, and extremely popular restaurant near the marina in Fécamp.Booking is essential.The restaurant specialises in seafood and there is a limited non-seafood menu.There are always several fresh fish choices, and regular shellfish specials.very good quality fish and good value.We shared a delicious plateau de fruits de mer, which contained oysters, prawns and brown shrimps, whelks, winkles crab, langoustines, etc. All delicious and fresh.Good choice of well-[riced local wines.Very enjoyable and we will return next time we are in Fécamp.

We had no reservations and our first choice was full so we settled on La Marine wich had one free table on the second floor dining room overlooking the harbour. We were three and we all had sea food platers, all were fresh and very good. Service was nice if a bit slow. Our only complaints - we know French don't have air conditioning, but why can't they open a window on a warm summer day to let the sea breeze in?
