We miss Croatia. We miss the smell of the sea, the fishing culture and the sounds of our mothers grilling whatever was freshly caught in the morning. We miss being in a land where football is played with feet. Despite the Croatian affinity for the sea, it

This is a restaurant with a nice ambiance but the food does not match. We were chewing the grilled calamari appetizer forever (I had to spit it out) The bread was a bit stale. Our entrees were not great. I had the breast of chicken dish which was heavy and mostly inedible. The salmon was just okay. The best part of the meal was the apple strudel dessert. Did not like that we had to ask the waiter five times for salt.Gave it 3 stars because the staff and owner were nice but we will not return.

We were looking for a Portugese restaurant for a pre thanksgiving get together and chose Galitos. A couple of us had been there before and loved it and secondly it is close to the Metro North station so it's a easy commute if you are coming from NYC and those coming up from NYC. It did not disappoint us this time around. The food is still good and the portions are generous. It was so good we repeated with take out for a party of 7 on 12/24. Great food, good price.

We just celebrated our 30th anniversary here, and while we didn’t really splurge, we had a tasty and pleasant meal for about $100, including three glasses of wine, one salad, and no dessert. I had the mesclun salad, which was generous and good. My wife had the artichoke and cheese plate, and was satisfied. My generous serving of fettucine was good. The grated cheese was served in a small, metal container, and was adequate. The waiter provided pepper from a grinder. I suppose they can’t do much about the few flies and gnats, especially in the summer. We are happy to have been party of that milestone anniversary, and thank you for picking Encore to celebrate it. We are glad that you enjoyed your dinner, the artichoke is such a simple version of French cooking, but yet, it is one of my personal favorite. I am sorry for the flies intruding in your meal, as you said , it is rather difficult to have a full control over that issue. Please come to us again for your next celebration.David.
