Good area for the kids. Reasonable meals at average prices. It's a pub., but a good open plan light and relaxed one. Parking can be interesting.

The best thing about this place is the view! They have created a beautiful indoor garden atmosphere with a magnificent view to the city! The food is good, not outstanding. The price of dishes are equivalent to restaurant prices without the service. You need find your way to a table yourself (even when you have a booking) you order meals at the bistro, order drinks at the bar, collect your food when your buzzer sounds and collect your own napkins and utensils, which is all fine when you are at a club or pub bistro, but for these prices surely they can afford a few staff to at least set the tables, show you to it and perhaps once you have ordered they could provide a table number so that staff could bring your food and drinks to your table when ready. They are saving money on staff and still charging full restaurant prices which doesn't sit well with me! We had 2 aperol Spritz which were very weak, a bottle of wine and 4 small share plates - flatbread, calamari, pork belly and fried chicken breast pieces cost $140 for 2, a bit rich for what we got! If we had had 2 share and 2 mains the cost would have been approx an additional $20pp around $180 total - restaurant prices!! I also feel that the group as a whole are quiet unhelpful and inflexible. We had a booking for 6pm and they will only hold a table for 15mins, fearing we may be a little later wanted to make the time 6:30, their response was set times 6 or 8pm - again restaurant rather than bistro attitude! Not rushing back...

we have recently enjoyed the octopus entree, although last time it was rather overcooked. Although no longer cheap, the food was good quality and the portions generous. Nice place to eat.

The Tradies Club at Gymea in the Sutherland Shire is a most accommodating club. There are several bar areas, including a terrific sports bar with comfortable lounges and numerous sporting channels on TV. The bistro had a very good menu and some variety in its daily specials. The service throughout the club was friendly and efficient. The club is very spacious and at no time did it feel closed in and crowded. I enjoyed visiting Tradies and would recommend it.

We regularly visit the Bavarian before going to see a movie. We usually just get a couple of entrees and a salad, as their servings are generous, and I love their calamari and chicken tenders. The service by the young barman/waiter named Arky was excellent.
