This âlocalâ diner has a nice hometown feel with pleasant employees, fast service, good food and prices. Recommend especially for families looking for a nice meal for a larger group at a reasonable price. Interior is nice and dress is casual.

My wife MaryAnn and I had breakfast in Sandcastle this morning. Old fashion like diner but very well kept. More of a neighborhood meeting place but everyone welcome. Today it was really raining and we figured it wouldnât be so hard to get a table. Wrong! Very crowded which only means very popular no matter the weather. We were lucky to sit at the counter, really had a better time, because we met some really nice people at the counter. No matter what type of breakfast you order you wonât be disappointed. Service with a smile and bottomless coffee. So if you are in Bayville anytime soon, have breakfast at the Sandcastle Diner!!

Horrible menu, horrible food, horrible service ! Went in for lunch and were given the bum's rush. It was "girls week-end" and guess this was still "off-season" but boy were they off! The menu is very blah! No burgers. Bread was dry and stale and servers were untrained. Would never go there again.Sorry you had a bad experience. Yes, you are correct, we are training a very young new crew. The staff for the past eight years have graduated college and moved on to full time jobs. It would've been helpful if you just let us know you were having such a bad experience, rather than having to read about it on Trip Advisor. In the off-season, we are only open two days a week from 8AM-2PM, which is why we don't serve burgers, because we want our food to be fresh. As for your stale bread, again, that information would have been more helpful why you here. Please, keep your negative comments to yourself, I would have solved your complaint in person.

Three couples came here today for breakfast. Three separate checks and NO problem with the orders. Food portions were large, fresh fruit cup was very fresh fruit and good size pieces and eggs cooked perfectly. Prices are very reasonable for this area. Would definitely return again when in area.
