Toros Turkish Restaurant in Clifton is the original of this four location restaurant and our favorite. Authentic Turkish menu with all types of lamb, chicken, beef, seafood items. Full bar and valet parking on weekends make this a pleasurable go to place. Wonderful, friendly staff.

Tucked away in the suburb of Hawthorne is this gem of a restaurant. Entering the parking lot your greeted by valet service making the visit comfortable unless your the type that prefers self-parking. The hostess was charming and seated us immediately. I recommend reservations. A full service bar that has a mixologist expertly making any drink you desire. After a few cocktails we began an assortment of appetizers and then our entree's. The filet was cooked with the exact temperature and delicious Their wine list is not so typical with varietals from Africa and other regions from around the world. An all around great experience.

My daughter and I stumbled upon this cute little restaurant in a strip mall. They were offering a $13 lunch special, an appetizer and an entree. My daughter had a lentil soup to start and then the lamb kebabs. I also had the lamb kebabs but started with a avocado and smoked eggplant dip dip. The portions were substantial for lunch and I have to say the lamb kebabs were some of the best I've had, perfectly cooked and not dry at all as so often is the case. The dip, which had a nice flavor, was served with some warm pita. We will have to return for dinner and sample the rather extensive menu.

Very cute place for dinner, we came here on a Friday night, approx 30 minutes before the kitchen was closing. They sat us down and informed us, that we should order ASAP but they never rushed us to end our meal. My wife had few different appetizers, which were all great! I had the chicken schnitzel, which I enjoyed. Food is great and so is the atmosphere. Would come again!

This is small, virtually undecorated establishment. They have closed direct access from NJ 4, so getting in was a little tricky. Ask ahead. Å full lunch at around $10 with generous portions was a real bargain. But the quality was uneven. Pita bread and hummus were excellent. Swarma with beef was tasty. I know Middle Eastern usually is lamb, but I and many others prefer beef in the US. Baklava really seemed to have been made by grandma. But a felafel plate was horrid and was not finished. If you stick with the good dishes, you-and your wallet-will enjoy this place.

Met very good retired friends from work for a lunch that we had planned for months. The Nosh reminds me of the best memories for a Kosher Deli experience that could be found in the Bronx many years ago. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you - the food is fresh and plentiful. I had a Reuben (reminded by our waitress, without cheese) with sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Add a cream soda and a full salad bar, (pickles, slaw, potato salad +), and we had the perfect lunch with a chance to reminisce. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and ready to ensure that the experience is unforgettable. And, based on the full tables and constant clientele activity, the locals know that they have a real gem. (Check out the menu on line). We’re already planning a return visit. Thanks so much, See you Soon

Oceanos Restaurant

This is the story of the Panteleakis family and their dedication to what they know best - what they share most - what they love. Ask anyone who has been here. They will tell you about the home made bread, rolled and baked by the hands of Peter, the owner.

We recently discovered Oceanos. The food is fabulous. Roasted Beets with Almond Garlic sauce is amazing. The Tuna Tartar and Salmon were spectacular too. However the service was slow and inattentive. Our server added extra drinks to our bill and refused to remove them. Be forewarned check your bill carefully. Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the chef and underwhelmed by the service.
